Sea Wash Cottage was a lovely place to stay. It is right on the shoreline of Sooke Basin, giving it stunning views. The two queen-sized beds were very comfortable and there was ample privacy for two couples. The kitchen is well stocked with gear, we wanted for nothing. The location was perfect for bicycle access to the Galloping Goose, and the town of Sooke is nearby. The only challenge for us was the very steep and twisting driveway as we had a larger vehicle. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this property.

This is an ideal location and set up for a relaxing getaway. The only reason I’m not going 5 stars across the board were some issues w check-in. However, Shelley was responsive and made things right. Honestly a very well-appointed and thoughtful set up for rental. Would rent again!

Exactly what the soul needed - relaxing and wonderful. Three generations on the trip and the place was perfect for all generations. Easy access to beach with many activities from paddle boarding to kayaking to looking for crabs under rocks to helping star fish back into the ocean. You know it’s good when the grandkids are talking about how they are going to do this with their kids too. We went into town once which was good but after 2 hours the kids just wanted to go back to the cottage as that’s where freedom and fun could be found. Host was fabulous with communications and truly a caring person. Definitely a 10/10 hands down. Thank you Shelly for a great experience.

A wonderful place to stay

We had an amazing week here. It was so peaceful and the wildlife was fantastic - daily otter visits, seals, hummingbirds, geese, butterflies. The cottage felt like home immediately and we had everything we needed. This is the nicest place in Sooke we've ever stayed in and we will be back!

We live in Victoria and love to get away to our cottage in just 35 minutes we feel like we're hundreds of miles away from it all.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I purchased this property because you just can't have a house any closer to the water!
Jeff was raised in Sooke so knows the area very well he said this place has it all Fly fishing at your doorstep salmon fishing minutes away and the town of Sooke 2 minutes away.
I love the peace and quiet, watching the wildlife, sipping wine in the hot tub, reading by the fire or entertaining friends with fresh crab caught right next to our float ... heaven.

Outdoor shower
Private little beach deck
Sandy area with fire pit
