Our 2-story Cape Cod home includes 2 fireplaces, 2 full kitchens, 3 baths, 6 total bedrooms (2 bedrooms with queen beds and 4 with doubles), and a laundry room. There is a large deck with ocean views, two picnic tables, and a barbecue. We are just a short distance from the beach, a long stretch of dunes, white sand, the great Twin Rocks, and the beautiful Pacific Ocean! The house is ideal for reunions, large families or small groups.

Regarding this fabulous beach house: "I can't think of anything I would have changed." is a quote from my wife. This speaks volumes as she was the primary planner of our family reunion hosted there. We had 5 children (ages 3 to 13) and 7 adults.The location couldn't have been better. Access to the beach was convenient. The views from the beach house were stunning.The layout worked well to provide central gathering places and everyone had a space that they could retire to for quiet time if needed.Everything we needed was provided, and the hosts had clearly put thought into how to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for their guests.

The house is old and definitely a beach house with it being a duplex it actually turned out great for the family. The dishwasher and toilet leaked, but they fixed the toilet not the dishwasher so all dishes had to be done by hand. The view and deck were amazing. I would definitely rent this place again!

We do have an occasional leak from our dishwasher, but never to the point where we couldn’t use it. I wish the renter had told us that she couldn’t use the dishwasher, then we could have had the plumber fix it, like he fixed the toilet leak. We always want our beach house to be in perfect order for our renters.

Location of Property can not be beat. Excellent location for our needs.Check in was smooth bed I slept on was comfortable. Was a tiny bit warm but I opened a window and allowed ocean breeze to put me to sleep with only a comforter.Couple of suggestions, upstairs bathtub needs good scrubbing or maybe even replaced, silverware was adequate but might shop garage sale or somewhere to increase supply. Also, stretching it to call it a 6 bedroom, I would count it more as 3 upstairs with sofa in living room and one downstairs.Kitchen was well stocked (exception of silverware ) and grounds were landscaped well for the guests to enjoy off the spacious deck. It even had a inviting looking hammock.All in all we enjoyed the place and Jan was gracious with restaurant suggestions and check in and check out times.

Interesting review, and difficult to respond, because I can’t understand a few of the things the renter said. It is very definitely a six bedroom house. Our housekeeper said that the beds on the north side hadn’t been slept in, so it’s possible that the renters didn’t know there was a second unit, but the main unit does indeed have four bedrooms in it. Also, we have an adequate amount of silverware, and our bathtub gets well scrubbed after each rental.

This is a wonderful place to stay with a family. It is a duplex, which worked nicely for our group. We loved the closeness to the beach. It was amazing! It is an older home. The stairs and beds all creak loudly, but the home is clean and comfortable and the price is very reasonable. The owners were very kind and easy to work with. We definitely recommend staying at this place and look forward to returning one day.

Fun little spot. Enjoyed all the space the house has and the deck. The beds are super squeaky and woke us all up a few times but other than that this is a great little vacation home.

This home has a breathtaking view of Twin Rocks and the path to the beach is a few steps from the house. Overall the house was clean and tidy. One room had pet hair on the bedsheets. The home provided the essentials for cooking. They had a coffee pot, microwave and toaster, pots, pans and flatware. The countertop on the Northside was mildewed. The oven on the North side baked at a lower temperature than what you set it for.

Perfect location

We stayed for a couple days and had a great stay. The twin rocks are beautiful and the beach is unpopulated compared to other regional towns. The kids loved the beach. Location couldn’t get better! The house is older with small rooms and it gets warm on hot days without A/C.

This is a family beach home and true to that title it is a family effort to continue to own it. My two brothers and I grew up in the Mt. Tabor area of Portland and attended Franklin High School. We all still reside in the area and each of us loves the beach. We still refer to it as Twin Rocks, even though it has been incorporated into Rockaway Beach. We visit as often as possible and now our children and their children also use the house as a place to get away.

Why they chose this property

When my two brothers and I were children we used to spend our summers visiting my grandparents at their beach cabin in what was then Twin Rocks. We used to play in the woods across the street. One year when we came the trees had all been cut down. Little did I know then that the house that was to be built would one day be a place where my children would create their own beach memories. When our father purchased the house he went out on a limb financially. The first time down after the sale I stood out front with him and he said, 'This is your inheritance. There won't be anything else.' Today, this house means the world to me and to each of our families. Through the years it has become a way to connect with family and friends. It is our sincerest hope that our renters will also be able to create lasting memories for their family.

What makes this property unique

You only need to walk in the front door and look out the window once to realize why we love this house. The view is unequal. It's like a movie set. The house sitting steps away from the beach. Being able to sit on a deck and watch waves pounding the sand and crashing against the two giant rocks just off shore. It is truly an amazing place.
