Great location, quiet cottage that is beautifully decorated with a manicured courtyard. The only Bathroom is not on the same floor as the only bedroom. Upstairs ac where bedroom is could not be controlled by thermostat. The stepping stones to get to the cottage were slick in the rain.

Had I known how amazing this property was, I’d have stayed the whole week! The property is awesome and the cottage is just so beautiful. I loved the front porch swing and the decor of the whole place. The gardens were just stunning. I loved to walk around and check out every detail. The location was perfect -easy walk to downtown area and even closer to the lake! But honestly, the best part was the hostess, Shirley. She is interesting and fun and I felt like family. I could’ve stayed there and just hung out with her, her doggo , Sugar and her housekeeper, Shelia. I went on this trip alone and came back with 2 new friends. No wonder people keep coming back. I am already looking for a weekend to return!

The Country Girl Cottage is a peaceful hideaway behind the owner's home, nestled in beautiful, well-tended gardens. The front porch on the cottage is peaceful and wonderful for taking in the view of the gardens, reading, enjoying your morning coffee or your evening wine. The cottage itself is well-equipped and quaintly decorated with antique pieces and also a comfortable sofa for relaxing. The kitchen is small, but perfectly equipped for a weekend stay. We have now stayed at The Country Girl 4 times and will happily return in the future.

We enjoyed our third stay at The Country Girl Cottage over Easter weekend. The cottage is clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and decorated with antiques and other quaint, cozy decor. The surrounding gardens are gorgeous including many varieties of hostas and Japanese maples. The owner/host is most welcoming and helpful. We will return again in July!

Not a spec or dust/dirt in the entire cottage - host is beyond friendly. True love and care has been put into the entire property from the garden to the interior. Would recommend going in the spring/summer to take full advantage of the views.

Everything was absolutely perfect, this little cottage is the cutest I’ve ever seen! The decor was stunning. And we were completely comfortable. This little house has everything it needs and it’s so close in walking distance to the downtown. 10 out of 10.

Everything about our stay was perfect. Our host Shirley was amazing and made us immediately feel at home. The cottage is beautiful and sits on lovely grounds surrounded by an amazing garden. The location is walking distance to a quaint town and provides easy on -off access to the highway making it convenient to access all attractions and downtown Asheville.
