About the host
Hosted by John Seffker
I'm originally from Puerto Rico and raised in Wisconsin. I moved to Los Angeles in 1991 and have called California my home since. I am passionate about the wine business and have been involved in it for a long time. Music, sport, travel, incredible food and amazing people are my jam. They make this life truly epic and for the most unforgettable experiences and memories.
Why they chose this property
Paso Robles is a true treasure. Great people, incredible food and fabulous wines. I fell in love with Paso almost 30 years ago and have been coming up regularly over the years. I finally purchased a little getaway in 2024 and did an extensive remodel to revive and moderize this vintage California bungalow. This location is exactly what I wanted, blocks from central park and the vibrant downtown and also blocks from the event center where all the areas grand tastings are held but a quiet residential street. It's also central to all the surrounding vineyards so you can do your visits during the day, then come home and stroll down to the great restaurants for the evening without the need to drive. It's flat and bikeable as well so super easy to get around.
What makes this property unique
Keep a little old-world charm, give it some modern flare, some super comfortable beds to sleep in and a great cup of coffee to wake up to or a nice glass of wine to relax with in the evening. Simple pleasures.
