Mountain Views, Large Awesome Home in Gated Community - 7 Miles from AF Acad

Our 5,300 sf, 6 BR, 4.5 BA home has three fully air conditioned levels, 4 gas fireplaces
and lovely amenities. It is clean and comfortable. Ideal for families to hang out in the Great Room/Kitchen and the Lower Level, but still have their own bed rooms. Please see our Reviews.

The maximum occupancy per my rental license is 14, including babies. No exceptions can be made. If you plan on having any guests at the house who are not in the rental party, please discuss this with the owner prior to processing a rental.

This home is for rental only by families. Will consider reduced rates for a family of six or less depending on season and other factors. WILL PROVIDE DISCOUNTED RATES for rental of two months or more.

2025 and 2026 USAFA Graduation are NOT AVAILABLE. The house is rented already.

This home generally rents for $5,000 to $6,000 per week. Certain times, such as AFA graduation week, have higher rates.

This home is in a quiet residential neighborhood in a gated golf course community. It is not appropriate for parties. Facilities are available nearby for parties.

Check in at 4 pm; check out at 10 am.

If Guest has an approved pet, a Pet Fee of $125/pet/week is added.

Kissing Camels Estates is a gated golf course community in the central, west part of Colorado Springs, just east of the famous Garden of the Gods Park. It is near Pikes Peak, the Air Force Academy, U.S. Olympic Training Center and Museum, and many other attractions. Inside Kissing Camels Estates are some facilities including a pool and golf course that are owned by the private Garden of Gods Club and are generally available only for use by Club Members and their Guests. They are not "community" facilities and use of these facilities is not included in the rental. The Kids play area at the Rec Center is close to the house and available to all. There are also walking paths throughout the community.

It was almost like being at home, fully equipped, very comfortable. Beautiful and safe neighborhood. Host was excellent - met us upon arrival to show us around and make sure if we needed anything to contact him. I especially appreciated the ability to use the garage. Would definitely stay again.

Skip was an outstanding host! We appreciated the time he took when we arrived to show us around the house, point out all the amenities and demonstrate how to operate the TVs, cable service remote controls, large screen projector system and thermostats. Located in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood, the house was perfect for our large family holiday get-together. Quality furnishings, comfortable beds, clean and spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and well stocked pantry. The three level layout and open floor plan made for a comfortable and relaxing stay for all. Highly recommended! Thanks Skip!

Great House and Location

This house was perfect for our family to gather from around the country. The house has a great kitchen, living space, and bedrooms. The location in Colorado Springs was close to things to do, shopping, dining, and outdoor activities.

Family Vacation

This was a wonderful house to host our extended family get together over the 4th of July. It was comfortable and well stocked. The host was extremely responsive to our questions. It is conveniently located to beautiful walks and interesting family outings.

Fantastic location and property

Skip was a great host! The property was set up very well for two families sharing it for a week. We had plenty of space to spread out. The pool table was a big hit for everyone!

BEST TIME EVER-Family together again

Family from FL., PA, and Germany gathered here to celebrate and enjoy the beauty of Colorado. We were able to comfortably meet, enjoy each other, and share lots of good times over great meals and games. The location was perfect for the excursions and sightseeing that we experienced. The scenery provided one of the best vacations ever. The accommodations were perfect for the 5 families that shared this beautiful home

A spacious house with a great location

My family of 12 stayed in this house for a week and had a blast! The rooms were as advertised, the kitchen spacious and the location couldn't be beat -- especially if you want to beat the crowds to garden of the gods. It was clean, if a tad dated in decor. We appreciated being able to gather under one roof.

Actually well stocked

Wonderful quiet area, accessible to all that Colorado has to offer. Skip was easy to reach and of 10 rentals we have done, this was best stocked. Only omission was pool as shown was not available to renters. We enjoyed this property very much.

Kissing Camels

Great location and plenty of space for the 8 adults and 5 children in our party. Skip was unable to meet us at the house, but he made sure we had all the info we needed to get into the community as well as the check-in/out procedures and details about the house that wouldnt have been obvious as a first time guest.

This home is AMAZING!

My husband and I rented this home and it was absolutely wonderful! It was more than we could have asked for. It was so clean and there was nothing that we needed that wasn't already in the home. Great Colorado Springs Home

Skip greeted us and walked us through the house, which we all appreciated. This home was perfect for our family of 13 ranging from ages 2-68. There was plenty of space for everyone and multiple places to hang out and play games. It's located in a quiet community with very little traffic. We took advantage of wonderful locations that were SO close. Garden of the Gods, The Flying W Ranch, and Manitou Springs, and the Cave of the Winds are minutes away. It was a perfect space for our vacation. We'd rent this space again!

Great experience

Our host allowed for early arrival which was so helpful for our family who drove. The house comfortably worked for our family of 14. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals for a crowd. The host provides paper goods, detergent and a pantry with lots of spices & condiments. The house is located in a safe, well maintained neighborhood and is convenient to all the sights and activities available to visitors in Colorado Springs.

Great Garden of the Gods Getaway

The Kissing Camels location near Garden of the Gods was perfect! The house was clean and accommodated our extended family well. It was a disappointment to find out the pool was unavailable to us due to COVID, as this was a main reason some in our party decided on this house. We didn’t know until the week before, but such are these times. Skip was great at communication and assistance.

Exceptional in every way!!

We had the best week here! We spent Christmas with our entire family and this house was the perfect place. Skip went out of his way to ensure we had the most comfortable and enjoyable time. He decorated the house for Christmas and really made us feel at home. Despite having 10 people in one house for a week, we never felt crammed or on top of each other. The three levels and the layout of the house are great. Everyone had space and could come together in the main areas for socializing. The kids had a great time playing. The kitchen is awesome. I will stay here anytime I get the family together in Springs!

Perfect family vacation!

We booked Skip’s home as my daughter was getting married at the Pinery at the Hill and I wanted a place where all of my side of the family could be together including my 88 yr old mother. Skip’s home was perfect for us (all 13) with clean and spacious rooms for everyone, great home theater to watch the Olympics, fun pool table which my nephews loved, a fully equipped kitchen with a lot of general items (eg. Spices, paper goods) so that we could cook meals easily and didn’t have to overbuy ingredients. The location is peaceful which is what I needed as mother of the bride and we had daily visits by a beautiful stag in the back yard. Skip was very responsive to all my questions and easy to communicate with. This is a beautiful home and I would highly recommend it to everyone!

Just WOW!!

Staying at this house was an absolute win for our group of 14 friends and family. Skip, the owner, gave us a quick tour with pro tips on how to use the house’s gadgets—super helpful. Everyone had their own space for some downtime, but the real magic happened in the great room and basement. With built-in speakers, the vibes were seamless for movie nights and pool tournaments (we held two, no big deal).The location is chef’s kiss—just two minutes from Garden of the Gods, with stunning neighborhood views that made our Instagram stories pop. The three fireplaces kept things cozy, and the kitchen was perfect for whipping up breakfast and dinner like pros. Bonus points for the downstairs entertainment system, where we binged the trashiest TV in glorious Dolby Surround.Long story short, we’re 100% coming back.

Exceptional place for family to gather for neice's graduation!

Our niece was graduating from high school May 21st from Discovery Canyon. My sister in-law's birthday was May 20th. Our family comprised of Father and Mother in-law from Arizona, us and our son from Tennessee and our sister in-law, brother-in-law, niece and nephew from Colorado Springs (recently to Austin Texas). We wanted to all stay together (as we normally do) during the celebration of our niece's graduation and sister-in-law's birthday. We are a family that love to be around each other, play cards and interact without the confines of a hotel. This home was awesome! Plenty of space for all 9 of us! The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything we needed and more. Pots, pans, spices, etc., all included. The pool table and projection theater was a big plus! We all highly recommend this home for families and large groups. Thanks Skip!

Cancelled by Host

We were cancelled by Host Milton (Skip) Smith as our group was too large for his home. By contract, we were refunded 50%. The VRBO Support Team also unsuccessfully reached out to Skip for cancelling without providing a 100% refund. VRBO advised outside of contract, it's at the host's discretion. Skip advised me he would refund the other 50% if rented then turned around and blocked the entire month of August eliminating the opportunity for a full refund. Both Skip & VRBO kept our money even though we rebooked via VRBO. Not a good experience! What would you expect from a lawyer?

Colorado Family gathering

This home accommodated our entire family of 13 people. We had room enough for everyone to sleep in a bedroom and have easy access to a bathroom. The kitchen, dining room, and living room provided lots of space for games, kids, and adults. Having an office on the main floor was very helpful and was shared by several of the adults. The master bedroom was a nice "escape" for my husband and me. I am a tub person and that was a terrific way to end our very busy days. The two-level deck provided a lot of different gathering places for family members to catch up with one another. Skip was highly responsive and provided us with recommendations for places and restaurants to visit. Everyone enjoyed their time away.

Colorado Springs is a wonderful area year around. I believe you will find my home comfortable and fun and an excellent place for families to gather. Kissing Camels is a gated golf course community with excellent security. Hiking and biking in the stunning Garden of Gods park less than two miles away. Many other parks and recreation facilities are available.

Home theater, four fireplaces, pool table, large open rooms, and tremendous location make this a wonderful home for a family to enjoy. Next to Garden of Gods park, close to Air Force Academy and all local attractions. This unique home and surrounding area has much to offer. Unbeatable!
