About the host
Hosted by Barbara

We built our home in 2004. David was very involved in the building and both of us were very involved in the designing of our two level home. Both levels are complete with lots of natural light and plenty of windows overlooking the Upper Iowa River Valley. Each level is a complete living quarters. Our needs have changed as we have entered retirement so we are now sharing our home with visitors like you, who come to enjoy the Decorah area. We have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren and a beloved dogs. We live a wonderful life and are happy to share our home with you.
Why they chose this property
As a young couple we came to the Decorah area to canoe the Upper Iowa River and enjoy the natural beauty and rich culture. We eventually decided to make Decorah home for our growing family and after being the stewards of a beautiful country homestead near Decorah, we ultimately were led to this location which we dearly love.
What makes this property unique
We think you will enjoy the peace and beauty of our sanctuary. The views, the gardens, the natural light, the spaciousness and clean and fresh ambiance are here to welcome you.
