Winter and summer, rainy or sunny days, the villa is full of light and joy ! The impression given by the open space in the main room is lightness. All the south side is open on the swiming pool area and it feels like being on holiday every day of the year. We love being in the country side and yet so close to town !

You can walk into town in a quiet road, shaded and flat, for bread and croissant in the morning or races of the day or the evening restaurant.
The villa is in a dominant position with a beautiful panoramic countryside and a small sea front view. Despite the "proximity" of the city, the environment is very countryside, green, airy, clear and calm. The azure sky in front of your eyes and out of sight. He or not overlooked. The neighboring houses are remote and you do not see. You do not have to worry about proximity to the neighborhood. Nor has it not buildings. This is the countryside on the outskirts of the city.

For lovers of gardens and plants you will find again a subtle Mediterranean poncuté blend of exotic notes, including olive trees and a dozen varieties of rare palms.

The beach at Cagnes is 5 miles away we rarely miss an evening stroll along its lovely new prom. Nice is 20 mins away and Cannes takes about 30-40 mins. There are many other lovely spots along the coast, we love Villefranche and Golfe Juan. Of course Antibes and Juan les Pins are less than 20min away. Wherever you drive to from Vence, the scenery is stunning. Visit St Paul de Vence and Grasse. Or just drive up the mountain. Another day trip would be to Monte Carlo or San Remo over the border.


Distances:
The centre of the wonderful old bustling market town of Vence is only 1000m away. The Cite Historic is absolutely charming. There are many restaurants, bars, food shops, clothes shops and a bi-weekly market. There are also many art galleries. One of favourite spot could be the terrace of the Brasserie Victoire, on the main square, where you can sit and watch the Real Provence go by over a glass of Provencal wine.

There are many restaurants, bars, patisseries, butchers, grocers, supermarkets, hairdressers, banks, boutiques etc etc. Vence is a thriving community that, however, loses none of its village charm. You are just, literally, spoilt for choice.

best choice without a doubt

This villa is a gem, a perfect base for a trip in French Riviera. Location is excellent, having a wonderful panoramic view in a quiet area but at the same time being close to anywhere/anything you need. A large pool, well looked after garden and large indoor space with 4 rooms make this a great choice for families. Many thanks to Christian and his family for welcoming us in their beautiful home

Fantastic Villa!

We spent one week in the Villa, 2-3 families, on our EURO 2016 tour. The villa had everything we wanted and the kids loved the pool, so all in all a fantastic place and very well located. The owners were very helpful and informative. But the best moment was coming back to the Villa on the night Iceland sent England home, and that we will never forget for the rest of our lives ;)

A must return to.

This villa looks exactly as it does in the photos but you need to stay there to appreciate the charm, views, location and the great town of Vence! Rooms all bright and airy, pool is amazing, gardens are lovely. Great to have a large garage for the car and our dog loved exploring the gardens. The hosts are very thoughtful and easy to contact. Wish we took it for more than a week. Till next time!

Amazing stay

I would like to thank Christian and his family to allow to stay at his accommodation for our trip to Vence. The house was simply stunning and enjoyed by the whole of our family, especially the pool!! It was a pleasure to meet Christian and his family at the start, as they gave us a tour of the house. It was greatly appreciated and set the holiday of to a great start. We would definitely recommend to anyone if they were staying in the area. Thanks again Christian. Five stars!!

Beautiful villa in a great location

Villa was a good size, very clean and very well equipped with everything that we needed. The garden, patio and pool were lovely with a nice view. The location was perfect, it was a short 10 minute stroll into Vence every morning for the best croissants and coffee. Places to visit are a short drive including Antibes, Cannes, Monanco, Eze, Nice. Then just above in the hills are lovely hiking trails and waterfalls. Local villages were very close, St Paul and Tourettes being especially nice and traditional with a good choice of restaurants for all budgets. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

We had a superb holiday in this beautiful Villa Strelitzia Vence in early June 2019. Christian & Christelle have designed & created a really enchanting, stylish, artful, luxury, beautiful villa in a perfect setting on the outskirts of Vence, an excellent base from which to explore the delightful villages and resorts of Cote d’Azur; we hope to return sometime in the future.

Superbe Villa !!!

Nous avons loué en famille avec enfants. La maison est vraiment vaste. La décoration, les espaces intérieurs et extérieurs la rendent particulièrement agréable. La piscine est très grande et l'environnement calme, reposant. Bonne connexion Wifi même en extérieur. Nous avons apprécié la possibilité de se rendre en centre ville à pied. Nous recommandons vivement cette villa !

Excellent time in vence!

The town of Vence has a lot of excellent restaurants and a beautiful old town to offer. It is very close to other beautiful spots such as St-Paul or Grasse. We came by car from Switzerland and could move around quickly from one place to the other. We spent two lovely weeks with our family in Vence in this luxurious villa. It is a perfect place to stay with a family of up to eight members as it has four bedrooms, a large living room, a spacious kitchen and a big garden with a beautiful clean pool. Everything neat when we and well prepared when we arrived. The owner welcomed us warmly, explained the house and gave us recomendations for restaurants and tours in Vence and around the town. The interieur design is very well chosen and we could tell from the start that the owner has a lot of taste and has put a lot of effort in chosing and arranging the furniture. He was helpful through out our stay. When the WIFI connection broke down due to construction works near the house he quickly organised a mobile router for us. We can recommend this villa to everyone!

charming villa

Charming villa with a very good location, close to the center of Vence (not in walking distance though). Great base to explore the surrounding quant litte villages, such as Saint-Paul and Tourettes, and the French Riviera (rent scooters to avoid the heavy car traffic on the coast). For the sport biker, the surrounding Alpes Maritimes are a trully paradise. Very nice swimming pool with a distant view of the sea and the Massif de L'Esterel. The house has a large floor plan and floor to ceiling windows which provide lots of lights and views. It is nicely furnished and generally well equiped, but some things could be better. Some beds are very small and the matrasses are of poor quality. There are only four loungers at the pool and pool towels were of poor quality and had stains. Garage entrance to low to park our SUV. No air conditioning so quite hot to sleep. Some work on these points would make this villa top.

Beautiful villa!

Beautiful villa, large swimming pool and spectacular views! Very well located and walking distance to the lovely town center of Vence. We were very pleased with our stay. Owners were very friendly and accomodating. We would not hesitate to come back.

Perfectly located French hideaway

The property was exactly as described in the website. Interiors finished to a very high standard, beautifully designed garden with private pool. Almost all rooms open out on to pool area, where we spent most of our time. Also the perfect area for BBQ and outdoor dining. Panoramic views towards the sea, particularly from upstairs bedrooms which open out onto balcony. Very well located - within walking distance of Vence town centre and short drive to St Paul de Vence. Also well located for surrounding attractions (e.g. Nice, Antibes, Tourettes sur Loup). Close enough to everything you would need/want, but just far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Very friendly owners who provided recommendations for bars and restaurants and were available to deal with any issues (VERY minor - replacing a coffee machine and fixing a bathroom cistern). I would definitely recommend this home to others. Leaving after only one week was very difficult. An excellent time had by all!

Lovely villa and situation. Felt relaxed at once.

Very well positioned on a hill above Vence with long view to the Mediterranean. Walk down to the town with excellent range of shops is relatively easy -about 15 mins. Back up the hill is a different question, particularly at our age! Vence is a lovely place. Less touristy than some places but plenty of atmosphere in the old town ( and plenty of good restaurants !! ). Easy access to many other towns, villages and places of interest. There are other villas around but this was quiet and peaceful. Very relaxing. The garden is lovely. Really pretty around the pool and at the back it stretches up the hill as far as you can see. It is very well maintained. Inside it has everything you need - even though we didn't spend much time in there apart from sleeping and cooking. The kitchen was well equipped with good quality pans, tools, etc. Better than many French villas we have rented over the years. Overall we would certainly recommend it to others. Indeed we would be more than happy to stay there again.

Très belle maison et très bien entretenue

Nous avons loué cette maison fin août en famille (2 adultes et 3 enfants). La maison est vaste et très jolie : la décoration, les vues la rendent particulièrement agréable. La piscine est grande et l'eau très douce (pas de chlore). Les équipements sont très suffisants même si une connexion internet serait bienvenue. L'accueil réservé par les propriétaires était parfait et tout était très bien documenté (visites, mode d'emploi des appareils,...). Les formalités de départ ont été très simples et sans surprise. Bref un bien que nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

"Die Villa in Vence war i...

"Die Villa in Vence war idyllisch und wunderschön. Die Aussicht war wie beschrieben sensationell und man konnte bis ans Meer sehen. Die Freundlichkeit der Vermieter war ganz besonders und sind sehr nette Leute. Wir haben eine tolle Woche verbracht und es fehlte an nichts. Super Ausstattung, alles sehr modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Der Garten und der Pool waren sehr speziell und man konnte die Ruhe geniessen. Das nahegelegene Vence konnte man zu Fuss erreichten. Schöne und sehenswürdige Stadt. Wir wollen uns speziell bei der Familie B.für den netten Empfang und die tolle Woche bedanken. Kann ich nur empfehlen und wir würden sicher wieder einmal die Villa mieten. Vielen Dank."
