Hard to find 4 bedroom 3 1/2 bathroom including 3 full suites; over 500 sq ft of wrap around decking, outdoor dining area in the woods; fireplace, private hot tub under the stars and 2 car garage. 1+ acre wooded setting with spectacular mountain views; authentic log home with modern amenities, open floor plan; great gathering and cooking space. Enjoy hiking in the RMNP, great shopping and restaurants, Mary's Lake, Lake Estes, golfing, walk to the playground; bike into town; or cook a great meal, enjoy all that our private home has to offer and simply do nothing at all! Early check-in fee: $50 per hour. No pets. No weddings or wedding related formal events. It was a great stay!

Such a nice place. Everyone had a great time and everything was very nice! For snow purposes I definitely would recommend a 4 Wheel drive vehicle and maybe ask them to plow if it has snowed recently. Everyone enjoyed their stay and it was a beautiful place.

Excellent Group Spot

Our group included 10 adults, ages 20-55. This home was perfect for our weekend getaway. Plenty of room, plenty of bathrooms, stunning views, and everything was just as stayed. Worth the price!

Great Cabin

This is our 2nd time to stay in this cabin. Great location, views from every window and the best floor plan. Care and thought have obviously gone into interior. You get the real mountain cabin experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing views

Ample room. Very comfortable. Beautiful house. The only thing we all noticed was lighting could be better. House was a little dark inside. Beautiful views of the mountains. Host very responsive. We contacted her about snow plowing and she had someone out within an hour. We had about 7 inches of fresh snow the morning after we arrived.

Wonderful stay that brings your back to nature...

This property is exactly as described. It's a beautiful house in a beautiful area. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We met a couple neighbors on our morning walk and all were friendly. The only draw back was we weren't there long enough. We enjoyed the house, the area, and wild life.

The Perfect NYE Getaway!

The Mountain House exceeded our expectations! The check-in/out process was detailed and accurate. The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. The property was well-stocked, including all the kitchen appliances and cookware you can think of. Heidi was very communicative as well. We would book this place again in a heartbeat!

Perfect girls hiking trip location!

The house is perfect! We were close to numerous hiking trails at Rocky Mountain National Park. There is a cute little town of Estes Park with a fun downtown shopping area. Spent a day at the Stanley Hotel for a Shining tour. At the end of each day we had this wonderful house with an amazing hot tub just a few steps from the porch. House was clean, well stocked with a very log cabin and forestry decor. Perfect for our little Colorado adventure!

Family anniversary

The house and location were just right! Enough room for everyone! Babies, toddlers and youngsters needs were met with the space and the ability to have their own space to have fun in. The adults also enjoyed the outside table, porch and hot tub! If you do have littles that can do stairs on their own this is a good spot, if littles need help with stairs, might think about taking a couple of stair gates to keep them in your sight! I am not a spick and span type of housekeeper, so wasn't appalled to see a sock, popcorn and dust under a table in the main area and under beds. Otherwise house was clean, and hopefully was well disinfected. The deck/porch was a great place to sit and relax. Fires were happening near by and Heidi communicated well for our safety and departure. This would definitely be a house and location we could stay at again and again and recommend it beyond 5 stars.

Nice place, BEWARE of driveway!

Overall our stay was nice and fit the needs of most of our crew. One thing to be aware of that is NOT in the listing is that the driveway is incredibly steep, not fully plowed in spots, and requires a 4 wheel drive vehicle. There is also not a plowed parking space at the bottom should you get stuck. If you don't have a 4-wheel drive vehicle and are planning to visit in the winter, you will not make it up the driveway. We had to tow my son's front wheel drive wheel chair van up the driveway through 2 icy, unplowed patches--that we had to shovel and chip away at later. Also, the walk way was not shoveled so we had to shovel once we got there. Word to the wise: if you are going in the winter, come prepared with shovels, ice melt, and a 4x4 vehicle. You will thank me later!

Amazing home in great location!

This home is amazing! Finding it was easy, steep drive up to the house (but fun!), absolutely amazing house, fabulous decor, neighbors, but not really visible from the house, trees all around a huge wrap-around porch! Tons of squirrels, chipmunks, mice (outside only!! The house itself was pristine!), and lots of various birds. We heard elk bugling off in the distance, but none on the side of the mountain we were on. Views for miles, but really no morning sunrise as we are sort of in the shadow of the mountain. Beds very comfy. Great tubs and lots of hot water. The lower-floor bedrooms were very quiet, but the master on the main floor has creaking, that sounds like knocking/squeaking/a door lightly closing, pretty constantly due to the heat inside the house, but the half of the log that is outside is cold. It occurred during the day also, but we didn’t mind it at all then. So put your deepest sleeper on the top floor. Heidi responded in half a minute when I thought the jacuzzi had stopped heating. Apparently we had hit the buttons in just the right combination to turn on a low power mode. We reset it and it heated up great again! A super place for 2-8 people! Absolutely beautiful and updated home! And very clean!

Great house

Property was really nice. The views from the house are pretty nice. Could be better but trees would have to be cut down. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was stocked very well with pots, pans, utensils, etc. pretty good amount of spices, seasonings. Overall everyone really enjoyed the house.

Absolutely Fantastic!! If you have a big family, this is a great space. We had 6 adults and 3 kids, and everyone had plenty of space to get away, as well as come together. It is exactly as it says in the description, and the pictures are accurate, however, it is much better in person. Will stay again!!

Mountain beauty

This home is wonderful. Beautiful views, well stocked with a full kitchen, pots, pans, dishes etc. It was in a very convenient spot for our activities in the Estes Park area. Our family stayed at this rental for our son’s wedding in Estes and it just added to the memorable weekend. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area again.

Beautiful Home and Vacation

Heidi’s home is absolutely beautiful!! It had easy access from the main roads and we were close to town. Our family enjoyed the open floor plan, amenities, and items provided during our stay. The communication prior to our stay was incredible and clear, so we felt at ease when we finally arrived. We loved having access to an easy washer a dryer, along with numerous kitchen appliances, dishes, and linens. Heidi made everything easy so we could enjoy our time as a family with our little ones. The house was very easy to navigate and we were close to all our favorite hiking destinations.

We fell in love right away and knew this was the one!! The size and construction of the huge logs captivated us. We value our privacy and appreciate the very private setting of our new home!
