This lovely cottage is located in Southwest Harbor, just minutes from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Built in 2009, this cottage features ocean views from the upstairs balcony and a granite countertop kitchen.

Muir Teachin is a lovely Sea Cottage for your summer vacation. Located in-town with views and access to the harbor. Living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom with queen bed and a full bath. A ladder leads to the open loft with queen and twin bed. Covered front porch with spiral stairs to the upper deck. Cable TV, DVD, CD PLAYER, WiFi internet.

Located on the 'quietside' of Mount Desert Island, and surrounded by Acadia National Park is the perfect vacation home for you and your family.

We are within walking distance to town where you can find an array of world class cuisine and truly unique shops. We may be bias but the best clam chowder and coconut macaroons on Mount Desert Island are only walking distance away! There is also a bird carving museum and library to dive into the local history. There are many hiking trails within a ten minute drive as well as swimming at Echo Lake beach. Golf is also a very short drive away at The Causeway Club. Bike, canoe, and boat rentals are available in town as well.

What a great cottage!

We loved our time in Southwest Harbor, a 5 minute walk into town. The owner (Chris) is wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Looking forward to another visit.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The cottage was clean. The bed a bit too soft for us but we like an extra firm bed. It’s a great neighborhood and within walking distance of several good restaurants.

Comfy cottage in SW Harbor

Enjoyed our stay very much. Good location, walk to town, marina and harbor. Very well maintained, stocked and comfortable. Owner lives next door and was very helpful without being intrusive. Southwest Harbor has just enough activities and restaurants and it’s also pretty quiet and very much the quaint New England coastal town we all love. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor too.

Maine Perfection in this Cottage

This was such a cute cottage, with everything needed supplied. Cozy and coastal within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and shops, easy drive to other parts of Acadia. This was perfect on the “quiet side”. Would book this again in a heartbeat. Chris was really welcoming and gave us some good info on places to visit while on vacation.. thanks for a great trip to the area Chris!!!

Cute Cottage

My wife and I stayed at this property in Southwest Harbor for a week in early September. It was great. The cottage was just the right size for the two of us. There is a loft with two additional beds, reached by a ladder, which would be fine for older children. The decorating was attractive, and the white paint made the inside bright and cheerful. The house is only two years old and appears to be only in occasional use. Everything is clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped with just about anything you would require. The bed was quite comfortable. This location on the other side of island, away from Bar Harbor, is not so busy and crowded. It's very pleasant and there are nearby restaurants. The owner was helpful and friendly. We had a great vacation.
