Charming apartment in the beautiful Renaissance villa on the hill of Fiesole. Surrounded by a landscaped park with old trees, statues and fountains. It is not uncommon to come across deer walking around.
The apartment is located on the hill of Fiesole, in a tower of the 13th century, part of a splendid Renaissance, home of the historic and noble family Rinuccini.
You enter the main park characterized by cedar trees and through the roof terrace you pass in the ancient courtyard with vaulted arcades, an architectural masterpiece of the fifteenth century, you will reach the Italian Garden, where next to statues and ancient garden pots with lemons, there is a large statue of Oceano on top of a fountain untouched (stature dates from the 16th century as his twin preserved at the Museum of the Bargello).
The entrance of the apartment is from the courtyard and accommodation is spread on the first and second floor of the tower, with beautiful views of the gardens and the surrounding hills.
The apartment features original terracotta floors and is fully furnished with antique furniture, such as wardrobes of the 17th century, and tables. There are two double bedrooms and an additional room that can accommodate 2 more people (in the living room). The kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, 4 burner gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer) and harmoniously combines modern facilities with antiques and old stone fireplace.
Lying on top of the hill, the villa is very cool even in the hottest summer days and is quiet and relaxing. It is just 7 km from the center of Florence and is well served by buses.
You can park your cars in a specific area within the park.
The Villa and the Park are recognized as historical and architectural monument from the 'Superintendent of Artistic and Architectural estates of the Florence Province', therefore guests can stroll and visit the park and the courtyard, other activities are permitted only with specific approval from the property.
In case of an occasional event in the park (wedding, fashion show, etc.) access to the park may be temporarily limited.
