Perfect place to escape from routine in the heights of Nice

Nestled in a green setting, our bungalow is very luminous due to its south-west exposure. It is located in a large property with trees, especially olive trees and Mediterranean plants; the house is located at the end of the propriety. Self-catering, single storey, and cannot be overlooked from the outside. Furnished with style, the antique furniture is functional for the pleasure and the comfort of our guests who can also enjoy the equipped kitchen. There are two large terraces, one is equipped for relaxation and idleness, the other for a barbecue evening to enjoy your holidays. At happy hour, you may prefer to stay by the pool and relax in the serenity of the place. There is nothing you have to worry about. There is parking on the property. In 10 minutes, you can reach the tram station (parking is free of charge all day long) and the A8 motorway toward Antibes, Cannes Saint-Tropez, Monaco, Montecarlo, and Menton on one side, and Italy on the other. If you do not have a car, you can take the bus 2 minutes away from the property. You must know that in summer, in the Riviera many entertainment activities are held.

Nice Getaway

We had a wonderful stay, Jacques and Solange are great hosts. While we were there they kept the pool open for us late in the season. Solange was very helpful with recommendations of places to eat and visit. And Jacques shared his jam and olive spread he made from his own orchard with us. It’s a great quiet location with easy access to explore the many towns in the region. They made our visit very special

Sanctuary in the hills of Nice

Great stay at Solange’s place in the hills of Nice. The separate house and terrace are lovely. The pool is terrific. You need a car to get access to this listing. We were already familiar with the surrounding area so this was a great spot to use as our base (trips to Eze and the Chagall museum and cimiez). The pool was a real pleasure and we enjoyed breakfast and cocktails on the terrace. Solange had great restaurant recommendations. The place can be difficult to find (go all the way down the private drive to find it).

Suburban Retreat

Solange and Jacques were very sweet and treated us to champagne for our 25th wedding anniversary. Not close to the city centre, and for sure you will need a car and be comfortable driving on the narrow steep roads, but it was a perfect spot to relax after a hot day sight seeing. The views from the pool were to die for. Felt like were in the countryside with no close neighbours looking over us. Jacques picked lemons for us - so delicious. Very memorable place

Lovely setting, with kind and thoughtful hosts

The guest house was very comfortable, in a nice hillside setting amidst a wide collection of interesting plants and trees. The hosts are friendly, and provided a number of unexpected welcome gifts, including wine, jam, and a few cold beverages in the refrigerator. Bring your own Nespresso pods :) The driveway to the house is not obvious, so be sure to call before you arrive for specific directions (you cannot see the house from the road). 5-7 minute walk from a patisserie, a SPAR and a pizzeria. We were mostly down the mountain in Nice during the day, and wished we could have spent more time relaxing at this beautiful property.

Lovely host

Solange is a warm and lovely host, greeting us initially with a bottle of Procecco, and sending us on way at departure with a jar of preserves made from fruit grown on the spot. Communication was difficult as Solange's English speaking ability was no better than our French speaking ability. We found the house very awkward because of limited ceiling heights in the kitchen and bathroom. Several bumps on our heads were sustained. The sizes of the bathroom and kitchen were simply too small for comfort for 6'2" and 5'7" people. We recommend full information to prospective visitors of these issues.

Challenging drive with a beautiful view!

Bonjour, this property is located North of the big city of Nice. You really need a car to climb the very steep and 15 minute drive up & down from the city of Nice. You should have full mobility in your body to stay at this property, lots of stairs and cascading landscape.Beautiful! This property is suited for up to 3 people who want to enjoy the view, swim in the pool and relax.(1single bed,1 double bed) The kitchen is small but has all the amenities. You need a gps to locate the entrance from the Main Street down the long stone road to the property.There are only lights half way down. The beds are very comfortable, the washroom toilet seat needs replacement, but the shower had good hot water! Solonge was extremely friendly and helpful. You want to try the Boulanger once you reach rue Pessicart for their fresh bread, pastries & coffee in the morning !

Fictional house with beautiful view on the hights of nice

Quite small, but well organised house in an antique style. Bathroom newly renovated. There is a beautiful terrace in front of the house with plenty of opportunities to relax and a marvellous swimming pool in the lower part of a great garden. The landlords are very kind and helpful. You will need a car and it will take you at best 20 minutes to get down to the “promenade des anglais” in Nice. Getting down to the property from the main road is a bit tricky but it is nice to have a secure and private parking space just next to your home. It might get complicated with a big can (van) though. Be aware that on the terrace in front of the house there is a constant background noise of the nearby motorway, near the pool it is very quiet and peaceful. Rest in the mountains of Nice

Solange and Jacques are very kind and courteous hosts. Their own home is on the same property, but they are considerate regarding privacy so you can feel like you’re alone on the property. The property itself is very big and beautiful. Jacques and Solange take care of various olive and citrus trees. It truly is amazing to rest in this beautiful mediterranean environment. We felt just like home, Solange and Jacques welcomed us with homemade jam and vine. Throughout the trip they gave us even more jam, strawberrys, raspberrys and lemons from their garden. Whenever we had questions they helped us. When we arrived Solange told us what to do in Nice and the surrounding cities. She was also very open for questions regarding places to visit. The house itself was small and cosy, very thoughtfully furnished and had everything we needed. There were even books and movies to read and watch. The pool was cleaned every day of our trip. The water was 28 degrees warm, because the pool is heated. We went with our car, so it was no issue to get to different places. But there is also a bus station right in front of the house. And in the village is a park and ride for tram where you can leave the car and take the tram to the city center which only costs 1€ for one ride. We truly enjoyed our stay at Solange and Jacques holiday home. Merci beaucoup!

Solange et Jacques sont des hôtes des plus accueillants. Solange a pris le temps de nous faire visiter la propriété et nous a donné beaucoup d’informations pertinentes quant aux services offerts dans les environs. Un gros MERCI à Jacques pour son excellent pesto et sa purée d’olives, vraiment délicieux. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Le logement se situe sur les hauteurs de Nice, transport à proximité. Le logement est un peu petit - largement suffisant pour deux, un peu juste pour trois - mais il y a tout ce dont on a besoin sur place, et la piscine est très agréable.

Petit paradis fleuri

Le site, dans les collines niçoises, est charmant, comme un petit coin d'Italie, entouré de cyprès, d'oliviers, d'orangers et citronniers, et au milieu des fleurs, au calme, avec des propriétaires attentionnés mais discrets. Les photos retranscrivent parfaitement le lieu. Parfait pour un repos complet, je ne suis même pas descendue à Nice au cours du séjour (6 nuits). Pour profiter de la terrasse le soir, pensez à prendre vos protections anti-moustiques !

Très bon séjour .

Le logement est spacieux, très propre très confortable et très bien équipé. La piscine est un vrai plus après un long trajet. Les propriétaires sont super accueillants et de bon conseil pour tout ce qui est possible de faire pendant le séjour. Je recommande très vivement.

Ein kleines Paradies in Südfrankreich

Wir waren 4 Wochen bei Solange und Jaques in ihrem wunderschönen Ferienhaus mit tollem Pool und wundervoller Terrasse zu Gast. Die Fotos in der Anzeige sind schön, aber die Wirklichkeit wird noch bei weitem übertroffen. Das Ferienhaus ist nicht groß, aber es ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Es ist schön ruhig und dank der hervorragend funktionierenden Klimaanlage haben wir immer gut in dem bequemen Bett geschlafen. Die große Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein, es gibt 3 Plätze zum Essen und auch Liegen zum Ausruhen. Wir haben die Terrasse jeden Tag bis spät in die Nacht genutzt und diese Zeit wirklich genossen. Der absolute Knaller aber ist der einzigartige, große und sehr gepflegte Pool. Es war uns jeden Tag eine große Freude, darin zu baden und zu schwimmen. Solange und Jaques haben täglich für eine hohe Wasserqualität gesorgt. Und überhaupt sind die Beiden supernette Vermieter, die uns regelmäßig mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten bedacht haben. Schon zur Begrüßung hatte man Wein, Marmelade und Wasser zur Erfrischung bereitgestellt. Sie waren immer zur Stelle, wenn man einen Tipp brauchte und verwöhnen ihre Gäste gern mit kleinen Köstlichkeiten oder frischem Obst. Es war eine wundervolle Zeit, wir haben sehr viel gesehen, erlebt und uns sehr gut erholt. Vielen lieben Dank, Solange und Jaques, wir werden uns immer sehr gerne an die wundervolle Zeit bei euch erinnern. Dieses Ferienhaus können wir uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen und geben für alles 5 Punkte

We also love concerts, cinemas, theatres, museums, and our house lies in an ideal location because in 15 minutes, we can reach the city and its cultural places. We are also travellers. We love to discover, learn from other cultures, and meeting different people is our passion. To host and share is a real pleasure.

Why they chose this property

We chose to stay in the countryside, on one of the hills in Nice, far from the chaos of the city, but close enough to enjoy its services. We are 3 km away from the main roads to enjoy what Nice has to offer. It is a pleasure to live in this region. Quality of life, the weather, the brightness of the sky, the pebble and rocky beaches, museums, theatres, gardens and the Carnival, the flower fights, the jazz festival. You will never get bored and this is why we like Nice so much. Other advantages: in less than an hour, you will go from the picturesque villages to the mountain with is ski resorts.

What makes this property unique

Bungalow in the countryside on a 10,000-m² property. Quietness is assured. You will not hear the sound of cars (a private lane takes you to the property) and you don't have to worry about finding a parking space. There is a panoramic view of the hills and it is not overlooked by the neighbours. In 5 minutes, you can reach the bakery shop and a supermarket. If you do not wish to go by car, you can take the bus, which is 2 minutes away from the property.
