We arrived from Rome by the train and took a taxi directly to the apartment with no problem.Mirta had messaged me through vrbo messages the name of the bell to ring to enter the apartment. Enrico gave us a quick tour and collected the tourist tax. Location is perfect! There was an add sewer smell in the entry hallway leading to the apartment. This smell did not enter the apartment. After we were in Florence a few days we did notice that this smell was common on some streets.When I messaged Mirta requesting Restaurant and places of interest, she sent me a wonderful list of her suggestions.We enjoyed our stay at Sant’Egidio.

We enjoyed the size of the apartment and the king bed. The washer/dryer unit was wonderful, especially since Florence was in the middle of our trip. The property is really close to the Duomo and near many eateries and shopping opportunities. The shower is the smallest we have encountered ever in Europe (and we have seen several sizes). My husband and I are both medium-sized people 150-170 lbs. I would not recommend for 200lbs or more.

My sister and I loved our stay in Florence. The location was perfect. Our host met us at the door and showed us all the details of the apartment. It was super easy to find and get in. We felt very safe there.If you plan to walk with luggage, it is a challenge with the cobblestone roads. We found it challenging with two carry-on bags, so if you have large bags, take a taxi from the train station is our advice. It’s just under a mile away. Other than that, everything else was perfect. The apartment was very comfortable. The bed was a king size, which was unexpected because the listing says full size. It was very comfortable. The grocery store is just 2 blocks away so we were able to get some local wines and food.We enjoyed several meals out as well. Food was amazing. We would highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit Florence. I highly recommend this property.

The property was really great and had everything we needed. Only two things I found difficult. The bed, which was comfortable, is a memory foam bed which can be quite hot to sleep on. The other thing is as a long legged individual the toilet situation was quite tight. But those are not really issues that kept me from enjoying myself. It was really great overall and Enrico, who checked us in, was very sweet and helpful.

Great location, this apartment shows a little where and tear. Very close and walkable to the Duomo, museums and lots of restaurants right outside the door. We had no internet for 2 days, but it was finally restored.

The laundry service was a gift! We found enough in the kitchen to make it work for us. The surprise was a king size bed as we were under the mistaken impression that it was a standard full size bed. It was amazingly quiet for the neighborhood so we slept well. It looks just like the pictures online!

Walking distance to Dumno. New Bridge Pizza across the street is amazing pizza, beer and the customer service is amazing. Loved the washer and dryer. If you are over 150 pounds you may have issue with size of shower. smallest one ever but water pressure was great.

Sant' Egidio was perfect for our stay. It was cosy and warm. Everything we needed was in the flat. We stayed for two weeks. We were met by an associate of the host who explained how to use the washing machine. Where the trash recycling goes etc., it as all perfect.

I loved staying here! There was plenty of room and it was a great to cook so I didn’t have to eat out every meal. I bought some great ravioli from the local market. The location was perfect to explore Florence. The bus stop was just a few steps away. Very convenient to get to the train station so I didn’t have to lug my luggage through the streets. Mirta and Francesco were great hosts and Enrico was there to greet me and show me around. I’ll stay here if I’m ever in Florence again!!!

Lovely place in downtown Florence

Why they chose this property

My husband and I were looking as an investment a flat which was in the heart of Florence, in an ancient building and we fell in love with the beams and joists of this flat which are thypical of the Florentine style. This is also the reason why we tried to give Sant' Egidio a warm touch mantaining a very relaxing atmosphere.
