About the host
Hosted by Ian Roberts
We are a British Creative Couple, One a Botanical Horticulturalist and the other a Music Agent, relocated from London to East Sussex to restore the gardens and house at Rose Cottage. The restoration took 3 and a half years and the house has hosted many happy events and memories for us both.
Why they chose this property
Rose Cottage has some of the most beautiful views and the village of Brede which the cottage is on the edge of is one of the prettiest and friendly areas in the South East of England. We looked for the perfect home for over 2 years and are so lucky to have found the cottage and gardens which needed our tender loving care. Rose Cottage has been completely restored and extended and now boasts luxurious fixtures and fittings, blending period features with modern touches, making it a home for all seasons.
What makes this property unique
The views of the surrounding countryside and the spectacular Brede Valley make the location of our home a perfect winter or summer retreat. Close to an award winning gastro pub the Red Lion and Brede High Woods, there is nothing better than relaxing in front of our wood burning stove or enjoying the spectacular sunsets on the patio, Rose Cottage is a perfect place to unwind and relax. The house is close to the historic towns of Rye and Hastings and perfect for days out at the beach at Camber , Pett Level and Hastings.
