The House:
This is a 2-floor spacious traditional Japanese townhouse.
It provides not only authentic Japanese cultural touch but also modern comfort with the newest Japanese high tech.
3bedrooms + 2toilets(washlet) +1bathroom + 1Japanese tea room+ Kitchen and dining area, host up to 10people.
Bedroom #1: western style with 2 single beds
Bedroom #2: Japanese room with 2 semidouble beds
Bedroom #3: Japanese room with 4 single futons.

The bonus features:
A full size well equipped kitchen and dining area for our guests to cook meals and enjoy family/friends' gathering at home.
Not only oil, salt, pepper, but also coffee & tea are provided.
Wash machine with dryer function, laundry detergent is provided too.
Dehumidifier system in bathroom can dry clothes properly in rainy season.
Each room has air conditioner to keep our guests warm in winter and cool in summer. Plus, floor heating system in the living room.
Internet connection: broadband wireless internet connection inside the house, no pocket wifi to carry out
There are Japanese toys for kids and various tourist guides in the living room.

The house is located in the heart of Kyoto-Gion, a historical district famous for Geisha.

Best Experience Ever!

We came to Japan to experience the culture for a few days. It was a magical experience, especially staying here in Kyoto. Having a traditional Japanese townhouse to stay in was perfect for our needs. We were close to the train/bus for easy access, and shopping/dining was not a far walk. It was quiet, peaceful, and just an amazing little place to stay. Thank you for having us!

Great place

Great place to stay in Kyoto, everything went smoothly, communication with host was great! Place was very spacious, has two separate toilets was great only one shower! Neighborhood was a very quiet peaceful place, within walking distances to major areas (15-20min walk) otherwise we indeed everywhere! Would recommend this place! Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It was spacious enough for 3 kids and 4 adults and was in a prime location. It is a quiet street, yet only a short walk from downtown action. Our American kids especially liked the Japanese games and the toilets. I found the washer/dryer combo to be a life saver. I would definitely want to stay here again

Tradition with modern amenities

Apt is in a great location and the perfect combination of getting to experience a traditional Japanese home but have western amenities available. The biggest issue we had was taxi drivers even after showing a map of the property could never figure where to go.

Our host, Bliss, was in contact before during and after our stay. We had 4 teenagers with us and we needed bedroom space and this property delivered! Two large bedrooms for our teens that were adjacent to each other and our bedroom was in the other side, which was divided by the kitchen and living room. We liked that the two bathrooms with toilets were separated from the shower/tub. Kitchen and living room is really small but kids stayed in their rooms when we weren’t out. Close to rail/bus stops, 7/11 and small restaurants and coffee shops. Recommend this place.

Great house in the Gion area of Kyoto!

Four of us had a wonderful stay at this house located in the Gion area of Kyoto. We saw geishas walking close to our vacation home on two occasions. With four of us in our group, we took taxis to the many temples, gardens and other sights during our stay, making traveling exceptionally easy. We were so happy to find that we were just a couple of blocks from the river where we watched the cranes fishing and enjoyed strolling on a beautiful fall day. The steep stairs to get to the main floor were difficult for one person in our group. This house is not recommended for the elderly or anyone with disabilities.

LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION

My family was so looking forward to staying at this property but 48 hours before our arrival we received an urgent message that this property would not be available due to a maintenance issue. We were offered another property although the location was not my ideal location but with an international flight from the US to Japan the next day we took the offer and it ended up being okay. They did compensate us for being inconvenienced and the new property was actually bigger but the other property seemed more traditional and in my area of choice - Gion.

Everything was perfect. Our lodgings were beautiful, comfortable, and very well appointed. The owners were very hospitable and generous in providing everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Well appointed, comfortable, quiet and clean! Location is excellent! Close to everything in Gion but quiet! Layout is great with 2 rooms on one side separated by the living room to another room. Everything we needed was well stocked including shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower, tooth brush and other toiletries. Kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast before we headed out for the day. I’d highly recommend this rental and if we returned to Kyoto would definitely stay again.

Maison à la fois traditionnelle et confortable parfaitement située dans Kyoto

Très bon séjour dans cette maison à la fois traditionnelle et moderne. Nous étions six adultes et nous étions tous bien installés: deux dans la chambre occidentale et les quatre autres sur les tatamis! Salle de bain à la japonaise avec beaucoup de place pour se doucher. Il faut juste un peu d’organisation avec une salle de bain pour six. Les deux toilettes séparées aident beaucoup! Le point le plus positif de cette maison est sa localisation: dans une petite rue piétonne parmi les plus charmantes de la ville. Le quartier est magnifique et très calme pour Kyoto. C’était un véritable plaisir de sortir ou de rentrer à la maison. Nous avons eu la chance de voir de nombreuses Geishas dans le quartier, dont la voisine! Et en quelques minutes à pied on se retrouve dans Gion, le centre ville, etc. Enfin la communication avec le loueur Bliss à été très facile et efficace. Les explications données pour l’arrivée sont très complètes. On a tout de suite trouvé en arrivant à pied du métro Kiyomizu-gojo. Moins de 10 minutes. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Kyoto, et la maison y a beaucoup contribué.

Huge, beautiful, modern house in the heart of the Geisha district

If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay with all modern conveniences, and with lots of space for a family or group, this house is simply great. The photos dont do it justice and we were amazed at its size, beauty and the quality of its fit-out and appliances. It may not be the cheapest place to stay in Gion, but if you want to spoil yourself and base yourself in a beautiful quiet house and street, where we occasionally saw real geishas going about their daily business, then we cant recommend this place highly enough. Just lovely.

Traditional Kyoto in Gion

We really enjoyed our stay in Kyoto. The residence was clean, well located, very easy to get to public transport and in a very interesting part of Kyoto, close to the river, lots of restaurants within walking distance.The directions for our taxi driver from the train station were great, and we found the accommodation really easily. The apartment was very spacious and kitchen was well appointed, washing-machine/dryer easy to operate. It would have been helpful to have a guide to restaurants nearby. We can recommend highly the bakery around the corner for cream puffs and chocolate eclairs! We had difficulty with internet service at about 4.00pm for an hour or so every afternoon. Overall a very interesting and enjoyable stay. Thankyou Bliss

a beautiful apartment for our family in a perfect spot

We stayed for 6 nights in November and loved the apartment and the position! We found the place easily with the excellent instructions we could show to the taxi driver and were just so happy when we came in. Everything was prepared beautifully and the apartment was lovely to sty in, warm and cozy, with a good kitchen, and lots of nice touches. I would highly recommend this apartment to couples and families.
