Maison du Lac - Villa with pool located next to Lac d'Annecy

The villa is situated at the south end of Lac d'Annecy at Bout du Lac close to Doussard and is available for rental most of the year.
There are 5 bedrooms – 3 doubles (one downstairs with an en suite bathroom) and two twin. This provides capacity for 10 people. Two of the upstairs bedrooms share a front balcony and have a good view of the lake. There is a large veranda on the front of the house, to enjoy the best of the lake and mountain views. The lounge is equipped with UK and French TV and Home Theatre System.
The 8 X 4m covered swimming pool usually runs at 26 to 28 deg in the summer and is available from May to October. The large terrace has the sun all day. There is a large garden and spacious parking inside the property which accommodates 6 cars and a boat.
Although the area is renowned for its scenic views, there is the possibility to pursue many sporting activities. These include a range of water sports on Lake Annecy including water ski-ing, wake-boarding, sailing (with special classes for juniors to learn sailing), rowing etc. Within 10 minutes walking there are beaches and the harbour where ski boats can be moored. Typical cost for mooring, gate entrance pass and car parking sticker is 85 Euro per week and can be reserved in weekly block's Saturday to Saturday.
A cycle path runs behind the house which runs directly into Annecy and has now been extended to circuit the lake. For the more adventurous there are road routes within easy reach which are used for the Tour de France.
Please note that the house is strictly non-smoking and pets are not allowed. Groups of family/friends are welcome but we do not cater for groups of young adults. A party size greater than 10 people including children is only by prior agreement. In that case, a further double bedroom can be provided. The property is secured by a Verisure alarm system.
The property is not adapted for the needs of disabled people.

A really excellent house in a fantastic location. The accommodation was perfect for us and included everything we needed for our comfort. And provided us with an incredible view on all sides. It was great to explore Lake Annecy from Dossard which provided a relaxed base for us to plan our adventures. Our host gave really clear info, was on hand for anything we needed and the property was exactly as advertised

Wonderful house

Everything you could want from a holiday covering a wide age range! The house was amazingly well provided with kitchen stuff, the pool was amazing and used by everyone, the location was ideal for cycling, walking, running or just sitting on the patio watching the hang gliders. Things not to miss - Semnoz for the views of Mont Blanc and the luge, a meal at Chalet Pricaz, pedalos on the lake. A memorable holiday in a memorable house. Thanks David and Renée.

A perfect family holiday home

We had a wonderful week staying at this property absolutely no issues. House was very clean and had a superb equipped kitchen. As we were there in very hot weather the only thing we could have done with was more fans in the bedrooms but at least the children had fans. If heatwaves are going to occur more often this would be the only suggestion we would have. Property suited everyone we loved the pool and also the lake which was so close. Also the variety of places to visit in the area was fantastic. David was extremely helpful if we ever needed anything.

Fantastic house

Definitely the best equipped holiday house we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful location, great views over the Lake and 10-15 min walk to the beach and shop. Very clean and tidy and with the owners next door any questions were quickly answered. We were a group of 2 families and it was perfect for us.

Perfect base for exploring Annecy!!

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Annecy as a family/group then look no further! The whole villa is fantastic and the views are stunning. Everything has been thought about here, from the very well stocked kitchen with every utensil you can think of, to the organisation of everything! The pool area is perfect for families and soaking up the sun. 3 or 4 restaurants are within easy walking distance and a bus stop at the bottom of the road takes you into Annecy within 30 mins. The owners really take pride in this property, it was spotlessly clean and so well taken care of. If you read this review and are thinking of booking, please do - you won’t regret it!

Even better than it looks!

We all know that pictures sometimes lie. In this case, the reality is even better than the pictures. This house is amazing. Everything is neat, in proper working condition, clean, and easy to keep clean. The owners have outdoor furniture that allows you to eat every meal outside, which we did. The pool is a great feature for the kids and can be closed in case of bad weather or cool breezes. The views from the grounds are amazing, and it is walking distance to the lake (note: it is not really walking distance to the beaches but it is biking distance to the closest beach). We drove to the beach in Doussard and the beach in Talloires. The bike path is directly behind the house so bring or rent bikes. The market is close by, as is downtown Doussard where there was an outdoor market on certain days. The location of this house is great and allowed us to do many different things including biking, hiking, swimming, and paddle boarding. This house was a little more expensive than some of the other Annecy listings we looked at, but we believe it was well worth the money we spent. We highly recommend this rental property, especially if you have children who love to swim.

Wonderful stay with excellent hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay in Lake Annecy. David and Renée were always on hand if needed for advice or recommendations. The property is well equipped with a lovely kitchen and great pool. The house has wonderful views of the mountains and the cycle path is just behind the house. We hope to stay again soon!

Séjour agréable dans un cadre grandiose. Maison très propre et conforme à l'annonce. Il apparait néanmoins surprenant de voir le propriétaire quasi quotidiennement, tondre la pelouse ou encore taper quelques de golf dans le jardin. A ce du tarif, l'intimité devrait être de rigueur.

Beautiful house in a beautiful place

We had a fabulous time in Maison du Lac. David and Renee were welcoming hosts and made themselves available without being intrusive. The house was very well equipped with exceptional communal areas on the ground floor. The pool was fantastic and the terrace was where we spent most of our time, relaxing on the sun loungers, dipping in the pool and eating outside. The local restaurants are easily accessible and very good although we preferred preparing food and eating in. We really loved this house and our holiday together. The views of the lake and the parapentes hovering above, framed by the mountains, were all breathtakingly beautiful. We would like to come back.

Très très bonne surprise. Accueil chaleureux de Dave et Renée. La maison est magnifique et spacieuse. Tout est fait pour s"y sentir comme chez soi.
