We had the best time at Sea Sage celebrating my niece’s birthday. This is the second time we have stayed here and both have been excellent. The property managers were so helpful and easy to work with. I will definitely stay here again.

We had the best stay at Sea Sage! The kitchen is well equipped. We stayed for Thanksgiving so I had everything I needed to make a big meal. The view is spectacular and the beach access is right by the house so you are just steps to the beach! We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful home…location was perfect. Plenty of space to spread out. The beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend renting a golf cart if staying here. Made the vacation so much fun to cart around to the pools available!

We felt that it’s time to freshen up the place. Example: literally every toilet was in disrepair and unclean. The sofa had to be covered with sheets because of all the stains.Lastly, a large number of the plugs were loose or inoperable. This could be dangerous. We’ve rented at least 5 vrbo’s & this one was our least favorite.Christine the host was awesome though!

Great family gathering house

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. Excellent location to the beach. Beautiful gulf views. Very nice facilities. Young children will love the bunk room.The 2 large master suites are excellent. The third bedroom with queen bed is small but nice. The 4th bedroom is really a sitting room with a pull-out sofa bed. The only negative comment we had was that the back door needs repair, it was very difficult for young children to open and close.

Buyer Beware! Horrible mismanaged property in disrepair. Blood stained sheets, dirty towels, non-working lights, bathing suits in the outdoor shower, exterior peeling paint, rotten wood and so much more. Management notified and said “I’m sorry”.

This is the third year to rent in Pointe West but our first year at Sea Sage. Location: 10/10 Owner/management response: 10/10 The AC was not cooling the main level below 75. I text the owner/management and they had an AC company there within 4 hours. The owner even called to apologize. Family room: 6/10 Sofa is very worn and the room needs to have more seating Kitchen: 7/10 Small compared to other homes we have rented. It was was well-equipped but pots and pans were very old and finish wearing off. There were extra dishwasher pods, trash bags and spices that were a nice touch. Outdoor space: 10/10 Great sitting area and dining area Amenities: 10/10 They had great beach chairs, a wagon and beach toys for our use. Nice touch. Overal condition: 7/10 Paint is sliding off the wall in master bedroom and there are water stains on the ceiling. 5th bedroom actually has a pull-out sofa not fit for adult use. It was also terribly stained. I took a star off because the listing makes it sound like this room could sleep 2 adults. Overall we had a wonderful vacation with our kids, grandkids, and extended family. We spent a majority of our time at the beach but it was so nice to be close to the walk-over and get back to the house quickly.

Great location, but left more to be desired

Great location next to the walk-over, but some minor things would have improved the stay. Expected higher quality for the price paid. 1) Pop-up tent for beach completely rusted, unable to use properly. Easy replacement item. 2) One of the bedrooms with the Queen has no night stand, no dresser, no luggage rack. Simple, affordable items that could easily be added to room to make it more habitable (versus having to put everything on the floor). 3) Light fixture hanging with exposed wires on outdoor patio 4) Bunk bed has exposed screw at the top of the ladder (easy for kid to injure themselves) 5) Not all light fixtures worked inside bunk bed 6) Would be nice if house provided beach towels, not something you normally have to think about traveling with. 7) Tiny TVs in kids bunk room, small "play room" and even living room. Sizes you would see in early 2000s.

Excellent for family reunion. The owner let us know of storm damage from recent hurricane, but didn’t impact our stay. Very roomy, great with Pointe West amenities. We wish we had rented a golf cart to get around. Kitchen had basics. All the bedrooms were very well appointed. House is 15 steps from walkover to beach. Has beach toys and chairs to take to the beach.

We had a great time. The ocean view is amazing and the crosswalk is directly next to the house for convenience. The layout of the house is spacious with two masters. The house could use a little TLC. There were some issues with locks & lights. Overall, it was a good experience.

Great Property for a Family Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beach house. It provides plenty of space for a large family or group of friends to get away. Access to the private beach is right out back. Some wake boards, sand toys and chairs are provided for guest’s use. The bathrooms are only stocked with one roll of toilet paper. Be prepared and shop before you leave Galveston as the nearby mini grocery stores are expensive. Only one towel is provided per person as well. There were a few extra hand towels and wash cloths but if you use an extra towel for hair, bring your own. No toiletries other than a bar of soap are provided. The bedrooms are mainly located upstairs with the exception of a king sized bed in the main bedroom on the main level. The bunk room upstairs has two twins and two fulls. The property advertises as having two queen beds but one of them is a pull-out sofa. The mattress is thick and our family member was comfortable but we didn’t expect to be making that bed upon arrival. The other two bedrooms upstairs have a queen and a king bed. The kitchen is adequately stocked for the most part regarding equipment. Some of the utensils are a little worn but we didn’t have any issues preparing pancakes. Salt and pepper are provided but you’ll need to bring everything else. Just be sure to shop in Galveston or expect to have little selection and much higher prices. We would happily rent this property again. 12 of us shared the space and we wished we had more time to enjoy the home.

Fabulous Property

We had a great Girls Weekend at this lovely house. I loved that there were enough bathrooms for everyone. The bedrooms have nice beds that are comfy and the bunkbed room with the lights in the ceiling is perfect for kids even though we enjoyed it as adults too. Location to the beach is perfect. Highly recommend and looking forward to our next weekend a this lovely house.

Love Pointe West

We have stayed in Pointe West for the last 10 years on Easter Weekend. Our family has grown so we rented a larger home this year. Sea Sage was wonderful, plenty of room, and right next to cross over walkway to beach. The littles loved the stars illuminating the ceiling in the bunk room.

we have stayed at various Pointe West properties for over 10 years and being next to the board walk was amazing. easiest access to walk across and set everything up every morning and tear down in the evening. spent almost all of our time at the beach this year compared to the pools. never crowded and always several degrees cooler next to the water! highly recommend this property.

THe house is beautiful and the location is super. Our Host was always most responsive. There was an issue with some interior problems, A door in one bedroom was screwed shut and you could not bet out to the patio access door. There was mold in the downstairs bathroom and hair balls in the shower. It appears that the cleaning crew did not do a good job. Other than that, we had a great time and enjoyed the home trememdously.

Convenient and Relaxing

Our stay was made even better by how accommodating the host is. Everything you could need is provided, especially for fun days on the beach! We loved how the house is right beside the beach across ramp, and the balconies provided great views on the beach as well. The property is well maintained and updated completely! Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The house had everything we could possibly need and totally met our expectations! Beds were very comfortable and bedrooms spacious. We did have issues with two of the TVs but we were not there to watch tv! Great memories for all of us.
