About this property

Your Peaceful Retreat On The Ocean.

Experience stunning views from our ocean front property located two kilometers north of Sechelt. We are situated on a south facing bluff with a 180 degree view overlooking Davis Bay, the Trail Islands and Vancouver Island.

Enjoy the proximity to the ocean, the waves breaking on the beach, eagles perched in the trees out front and the peaceful garden with a variety of seating areas.

The property is on high bank with good quality, lighted steps down to the beach. There is a large deck on the beach where you can sit and watch the ocean life. Dolphins, whales, seals, sea lions, eagles and numerous different sea birds have been sighted over the past year.

Our beautifully maintained 2 bedroom garden suite has a private entrance off a covered patio, gas fireplace, hardwood flooring throughout, under-floor heating in the tiled bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, full sized appliances, and a washer and drier. Sitting room, kitchen and bedrooms look out onto the garden and ocean.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and it’s own exit onto the patio. The second bedroom has a queen bed.

There is a gas barbeque on the deck and a variety of seating areas where you can enjoy the garden and the view. The gazebo-covered hot tub is steps from the suite with stunning views over the water.

We are thirty minutes from the ferry and three minutes to the shops, restaurants and galleries in Sechelt.

This is a perfect location for either a quiet get-away, or an active fun-filled vacation on the Sunshine Coast.

The gardens, suite and whole experience were just what we needed for a peaceful getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay, after visiting the beaches and doing kayaking in the Sechelt inlet, this place was an oasis to return to. Such a relaxing quiet stay. It is a beautifully kept property, stunning garden and the views of the water are 10/10. Inside everything was so clean and well put together with great tasteful simplicity. There was even fresh welcome flowers on the table for us when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again.

Great family stay in Sechelt

Our family spent three nights at David and Doreen’s guest suite right outside Sechelt and had a wonderful stay. The suite is very clean and well appointed, and overlooks the beautiful garden, with views to the water. Dave and Doreen were very responsive, friendly, take pride in their property. The beach is quite rocky but great for exploring and watching the local seals at sunset! Would definitely recommend!

Lovely property in Sechelt

We really enjoyed our stay here. The gardens provided lots of encounters with wildlife, including hummingbirds and eagles. The living space is inviting, stylish and comfortable. The hot tub was the icing on the cake!

The apartment was well equipped, clean and spacious. When the weather is good there's an overhanging deck which provides shade and outdoor space to bbq and relax. Doreen and David know the area well and will graciously share their insights.

The covered deck has been appreciated by guests as they can sit out in comfortable seats and enjoy the ocean views without being in full sunshine. Lovely Oceanfront Home

Our 3-night stay was just perfect. The roomy suite is lovely with lots of windows to enjoy the gorgeous view. It also had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including towels for the hot tub, multiple outdoor seating spots, and basic condiments in the kitchen. David and Doreen were friendly and helpful in recommending places to kayak and eat. We look forward to returning!

10 very relaxing days

My husband and I had a lovely 10 days in Sechelt and really enjoyed staying at this property. It is a very large 2 bedroom with a large kitchen and living space, which is ideal for a longer stay. The suite was very clean and included bathrobes for the hot tub. The location was perfect doing day hikes around the Sunshine Coast. The viewed were just beautiful too. Highly recommend

Amazing Stay!

This was a perfect getaway for a few friends and I. Wonderful outdoor space for dining, taking in the views of ocean and garden, a late night hot tub soak. Was a favourite highlight of mine heading down to steps to the rocky beach for a morning coffee. Inside was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Everything we expected and more

We really enjoyed our stay at this very clean, private, quiet suite. It appears to be recently professionally renovated including a new Weber BBQ and new Maytag washer. Nice landscaping and nice sitting areas to look out at the ocean. The owners upstairs were very nice and respectful and available if anything was needed. We appreciate the TELUS TV plentiful channels and guide, and the high speed internet. This was our first time on the Sunshine Coast and we really appreciated the quietness and small town feel. Relaxation in luxury

Incredible property. This felt like it was a luxury hotel suite! The owners take great pride in it. The suite was impeccably clean. The beds are very comfortable and the little touches like handmade soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste and makeup remover wipes (if you forgot to bring your own) make you feel very cared for and spoiled in a good way. But the most impressive thing for us was the garden! It is beautiful and relaxing and built with a great deal of thought. There is a dedicated seating area to look at the ocean; there is a dedicated seating area to catch the morning sun; there is also a whole massive patio area with comfortable sofa and chairs for you to enjoy… ahhh….After being back from our getaway for a few days now we, as a family, still keep reminiscing about our perfect stay and dreaming about coming back soon!

A wonderful family holiday

We really enjoyed our weeklong stay on the Sunshine Coast. The suite was an excellent place to relax. Everything is well cared for, clean and organized. There was everything that we needed and the owners even provided us with a travel crib and highchair for our daughter so that we did not need to fly all this stuff with us. There was even a basket of toys and books for her. This was a great bonus for us. They even protected all the plugs for us. The beds were very comfortable with excellent quality sheets and towels. We all slept very well with the soft ocean noises in the background. You won't hear traffic noise at all inside the suite and only very faintly in the garden. The view is even more amazing than the photos show. I would recommend bringing a small pair of binoculars because there is so much to see. We saw seals, various seabirds and many, many migrating eagles. We loved the hot tub in the evening after our daughter had gone to bed. Such a nice treat. The owners were very helpful with suggesting activities and helping us with any questions that we had. I would highly recommend staying here. It was by far the nicest VRBO property we have ever rented. We hope to return. Thank you Doreen and Dave!

Our group of 2 couples stayed for 4 nights here and cannot say enough positive about our experience. The living space is beautiful, well-appointed and comfortable. It is a walk-out space in a home that has a hot-tub, stair access (104!) to the beach with several bunches that overlook the water. The town of Sechelt and the surrounding area is lovely and there is lots to do for day trips, if one ever wants to leave the property itself.
