Hobart CBD is a 15 minute drive, Mount Wellington 25 minute drive, Port Arthur 70 minute drive, Richmond Historical village 10 minute drive, MONA 30 minute drive and the Huon Valley is a 40 minute drive.
Several Hotels nearby for counter meals.
Enjoy magnificent views of Barilla Bay and the Coal River Valley from the lounge/dining or from the veranda. Tea, coffee etc. are provided and breakfast ingredients are an optional extra.

A Cozy Hideaway

Peta's place is perfect for a family in a beautiful location not too far from Hobart CBD. One of the best features was the unique views across the valley - not something many people have woken up to before! Peta is also an amazing host, providing homemade jam and bread as well as fresh berries and you can certainly taste the difference! She is also highly responsive and provided a lot of information at check-in. Thanks for letting us stay here and we will hopefully see you next time!

Charming experience.

Peta was a wonderful hostess. Warm and welcoming and extremely helpful. The wonderful fresh strawberries she left for us were sensational. The accommodation was excellent, well presented and immaculate. Though not far from airport we didn’t really notice the planes coming and going and the beds were really comfy. Wished we had more time there. Highly recommended.

Having traveled extensively and stayed in all kinds of places, I can honestly say that Peta's Guest House (called Cornwall Cottage) was amazing. I am a clean-freak and I rated it as spotless. I don't do that often so this is praise indeed. Peta is a delightful hostess who made us most welcome with every home comfort possible from fresh eggs and bread daily to even providing Lactose-free milk. We were also given bowls of seasonal fresh fruit and offered yet more bread daily. The accommodation is splendid, with awesome views across the valley - we watched the planes on their descent to the airport (no engine noise) - and games, DVDs, CDs, etc provided - even a glass of Port ! There are also horses to watch (and feed) in the paddock - and sheep next door. I would 100% recommend a stay here and only wish I could return myself. Thank you Peta.

The property is close to Hobart but offers a unique lifestyle. The house is very large so we divided into 2 sections enabling me to open one section as an accommodation wing for others to enjoy what we have.

Cornwall Cottage is located in an ideal area being close to Hobart and the airport and offers a quiet peaceful setting for guests to sit back and enjoy their surroundings.
