About this property
Bright 3 bed 2 bath home!
Dashner House is a centrally-located private home on a half acre that's just 1 mile from downtown Montpelier and 40 minutes away from several ski resorts including Stowe. A perfect home base to enjoy all that Vermont and its capital have to offer. Great for families, couples, and groups.
This cute two-story house has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs, and 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom downstairs. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom make this house suitable for guests with some mobility issues, as long as they can make it up the 4 porch steps.
The living area is open plan with the kitchen, dining room, and living room part of one communal space so everyone is in on the action.
You will enjoy our flat-screen high-definition TV with Netflix, Youtube, Amazon Prime, and many other streaming channels. That, along with the hutch full of books, DVDs, games and free wi-fi will keep everyone entertained. As of Nov 2017 we have switched to a higher speed internet plan with a new internet service provider.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, an electric stove and dishwasher. As a courtesy to guests, we provide coffee and tea makings, and an initial starting pack of paper products and cleaning supplies.
The house sits on a half-acre lot with a forest in the back, yet is extremely centrally located -- just 1 mile to downtown Montpelier, just off the interstate highway.
The beds available are as follows:
Bedroom #1 (upstairs) - one queen bed
Bedroom #2 (upstairs) - one double bed
Bedroom #3 (downstairs) - one double bed
Living room - fold-out couch.
Washer and dryer in the basement.
The upstairs bedrooms can get hot on the hottest days of summer, for guest comfort we have recently purchased a portable Air Conditioner for the master bedroom upstairs.
Large driveway with parking for 4+ vehicles
Stroller and Pack and Play available for guest use.
Property Manager lives next door, so she is available almost any time to answer questions, but for your convenience we use a lock box for keys so you can check in at your leisure anytime after 3:00 on check-in day.
Rules
No pets, no smoking in the home, no parties, no fires in the fireplace. Guests responsible for doing own dishes -- everything else is covered under the cleaning fee.

About the host
Hosted by Ramona Grenier

I am originally from central Vermont, but now I live with my husband and our two children in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We stay in this house when we visit my family in Vermont (my mother lives next door which is great). When we are not staying here we rent the home out. Your rental fees help defray the costs of owning this home and make it possible for us to visit my family for a longer period each year, so we appreciate your choice to stay here very much!
Why they chose this property
Montpelier, VT is the smallest state capital in the United States, but it is full of history and unique charm. Stay in town and explore the many great restaurants, shops, farmer's markets and museums of Montpelier, or use this home as your base to explore the ski slopes, hiking trails, iconic towns, and unique foods of Vermont.
What makes this property unique
It's a beautiful, cozy home with lots of character, designer touches, and all the modern conveniences. Plus my mother is the property manager, you can't get a more personal touch than that!
