villa Lagarto is situated in a select and quiet residential area of Moraira on a flat plot in an elevated position with mountain and sea views over the valley and bay of el Portet, a perfect choice for families or couples.

The south facing villa gets full sun all day, but there are many options for shade. The property is positioned on a large flat plot with a well maintained Mediterranean garden with many palm trees, cacti and fruit trees, including lemon and orange.

The private and peaceful villa is designed to a very high standard and tastefully furnished. Satellite UK TV channels, with New! super fast fibre broadband and full air conditioning through out. A modern fully equipped kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, second double bedroom, a third bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom compliments our villa.

Walk out to the patio and pool, you are surrounded by mature gardens with numerous places to relax and unwind. The large 10m x 5m private kidney shaped pool with easy access Roman steps has synchronized colour changing LED lighting where you can enjoy swimming at night, an outside shower a large patio area with garden furniture, sun loungers and a BBQ terrace with two naya's for dining el fresco on hot summer days in the shade.

We have a helpful English couple living nearby who look after our villa, with their local knowledge of the best places to go, making your holiday more enjoyable. The pool is maintained weekly and our villa is cleaned for your arrival, together with fresh bed linen and house towels with no additional cost for Wi-fi and full air-conditioning.
No hidden extra's, the price you see is the price you pay.

A beautiful, stunning villa. Needed to contact hosts during our stay and they were very responsive. The location of the villa is far more than a 13 minute walk as shown on the website. Well equiped although cleaniness could be improved.

The villa was lovely. The pool was a delight- clean and spacious. Jo and Adam were very helpful and kind. The position of the villa was perfect for El Portet and Moraira. Wonderful restaurants nearby and the beaches were safe and clean. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

This was our 8th visit to Moraira but our first to the Golden Valley area. It took a day to familiarise but we had everything we needed in a short drive. Everyone we came across was friendly and chatty. There were some beautiful runs and walks both down to the beach and up to the Cumbre de Sol and Cap D’or. Make sure you eat at or take out from Casa Lili, a restaurant we’d seen but not visited previously.! Booking and communication with Peter in the lead up to the visit was great. Check in was easy and the villa spacious and clean. Air con worked well. The highlight for me were the views from the upper naya and the wonderful pool. We also made good use of the bbq. Would happily return. Thank you.

We had a lovely family holiday at this Villa. We had stayed in the area before, so knew what it was like. The Villa itself was clean, spacious, had all amenities that you could want and was a lovely space to stay. The air conditioning and fans made sleeping comfortable and the English Sky TV a bonus for the children!Peter was a great host. Directions and instructions were clear and concise and Peter responded very quickly to any questions I had. The Villa is situated high up the valley so it catches the invaluable sea breeze. The beach is a long walk, doable, but in the heat of the day, driving is preferable, especially the return journey up hill! We walked over to the nearby town of Moraira in the evening when it was cooler where there is an abundance of restaurants and treats. The supermarkets are a 7 minute drive away, so very handy.All in all a great relaxing holiday and we didn’t want for anything during our stay.Thank you Peter!

Excellent property. Villa is superb and well accommodated and clean, with marvellous pool and grounds. Perhaps could have left a small welcome pack with a few essential items, (milk, water, butter, bread). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with pleasant and quiet surroundings. Absolutely loved walking down to El Portet beach. One of the best beaches we have ever swam in. Would recommend definitely.

We found some request's became like a weekly shopping trip for our house keeper and when we supplied just basics there was a lot of waste. Difficult to satisfy peoples needs sometimes, so we stopped welcome packs completely when Covid 19 came round.

Casa Lagarto

Lovely villa about 5 minutes by car, or 40 minutes (downhill) walk from El Portet beach . Check in received only 2 since the access key code had been changed and not submitted on the information pack from the owners. We never saw the manager or heard from him. Once settled we had a wonderful time.

Our stay at Casa Lagarto…24/6/23 until 8/7/23 Positives A lovely spacious villa Welcome Aircon Fabulous views Great outside space Lovely pool / area Sun all day as south facing Unfortunately excluding the weekend we arrived the beginning of the week was the start of the WORST noise we’ve experienced! Two villas up from us building work was commencing with demolition of most of the villa ,noise was horrendous !It was like being on a building sight /war zone ! The pounding, crashing and vibration was overwhelming and completely ruined our holiday! Starting from around 8am until about 5.30/ 6pm for the whole two weeks we were there apart from weekends. Suspect an ongoing project.. We contacted the owners while there and sent a video ( we have many)of the volume of noise we were experiencing ! We told them how disappointed we were and surely they would have received some sort of notification of any proposed building work? We received a reply that they were sorry it was the first they’d heard of it? We were dumfounded as we spoke to the house keeper later the same day as we had no water and they mentioned there was building work going on!? The villa immediately next to the work was empty until we left. We saw what we thought to be the owners of the villa come to visit briefly. Presumably aware of the situation. Sadly not a relaxing quiet stay as advertised not value for money. Had we know we wouldn’t have booked!

We are sorry to hear that you experienced demolition building work noise during some of the weekdays of your holiday. The house being part demolished two houses down from ours was unfortunate for you that it coincided with your stay. We understand that the builders have now completed the demolition work. UPDATE 2 4/03/24 We the owners have just returned this week to do our usual villa maintenance work for the new season and we can report that all demolition work on the house has been completed and the house is now nearing completion for the new owners. The house is two properties down from our villa and our villa is now a normal peaceful environment for family holidays.

Super verblijf gehad

Het huis en de tuin zijn prachtig. Het zwembad was helemaal top. De ligging van het huis is erg mooi, prachtig uitzicht, ook stukje op zee.Een auto is echt nodig, huis ligt erg hoog. Al met al voor herhaling vatbaar!!

Schöne Villa mit kleinen Schönheitsfehlern

Die Villa ist im großen und Ganzen ok. Das einzige erwähnes Werte defizit ist die Decke im Schlafzimmmer. Die sollte zumindest mal geputz werden. Am besten steeichen. Die Lage liegt ein bisschen weit oben vom Meer. Das WLAN ist sehr schwach. Fußläufig nur für Sportler. Sonst hat die Villa aber unseren Erwartungen erfüllt. Die Kommunikation mit den Hausherren ist optimal.

Vielen Dank für Ihre kürzliche Bewertung und die Erwähnung des Spinnennetzes an der Decke des Hauptschlafzimmers. Unser Hausmeister hat jetzt alle Decken in unserer Villa mit einem Hochleistungsstaubsauger umrundet und alle anderen kleinen Spinnweben entfernt. Am Ende der Saison werden wir die Signalstärke des Wi-Fi-Signals überprüfen, aber bisher wurde dies von anderen Gästen nicht erwähnt. In den Ortsangaben sagen wir, dass wir 2 km von den Stränden Moraira und El Portet entfernt sind.

This villa has it all. Wonderful location, is very spacious and equipped with everything you could wish for. The pool is the icing on the cake. The house and surrounds were spotlessly clean on arrival, prepared by Jo and Adam who are faultless in their desire to assist to ensure your stay will be memorable. Although you could stay 2 weeks within the property and enjoy, it is suggested that you visit the beautiful El Portet beach and Moraira. However, due to the villa being up a long, steep hill/valley, a car is needed. A return next year is definitely being considered.

Erg nette super schone woning. Voor 6 personen is het wat klein. Binnen op de bank is er plaats voor 5. De eettafel is voor 6 personen aan de kleine kant. Buiten daaren tegen is volop ruimte in en om het zwembad. Bij mooi weer is het een perfect huis. Een van de slaapkamers had geen gordijnen, daardoor was de sfeer in die kamer ongezellig. Er hing ook niets aan de muur. De andere twee kamers waren wel gezellig aangekleed. De keuken volledige uitgerust, een scherp mes ontbrak. Heel fijn was het dat er airco is en dat er rolluiken waren. We hebben erg goed geslapen en geen enkel geluid gehoord ‘s nachts.

This is the above translated from our recent German guest's. I think a little too critical with a sharp knife missing and the curtains in one room in the laundry. Very neat super clean house. For 6 people it is a bit small. On the couch there is space for 5. The dining table is for 6 people on the small side. Outside there is plenty of room in and around the pool. In good weather it is a perfect house. One of the bedrooms had no curtains, so the atmosphere in that room was uncomfortable. There was also nothing on the wall. The other two rooms were nicely decorated. The kitchen fully equipped, a sharp knife was missing. It was very nice that there is air conditioning and that there were shutters. We slept very well and did not hear any noise at night.

El-Portet is a small cove with a sandy beach and crystal clear waters. El Portet and Moraira have very good restaurants catering for all tastes with a lovely sea front promenade between them.

We love the Costa Blanca coast for it's ease of access, the fantastic climate, scenery, mountain and coastal views. Our villa is situated in the el Portet valley, where the sea and mountain views, especially at sunset make it feel like paradise on earth!
