About this property

Miner's Cottage, Wheal Rose, Nr. St Agnes, Cornwall

Miner's Cottage is set in the extensive grounds of a Cornish Tin Mine Engine House, which dates back to the 1850's. The cottage is large and spacious and can accommodate up to 6 persons plus an infant in a cot very comfortably.

On the first floor, the property has 2 large bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a King size bed and Bedroom 2 has 2 Single beds. There is also a bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle on this floor.

The ground floor has a large open plan lounge, kitchen, dining room. Also located on the ground floor is the 3rd Bedroom with 2 Single beds and an en-suite.

We provide a high chair and a full size cot with mattress free of charge (we do not provide linen for the cot)

The cottage has Wifi, TV, dishwasher, electric oven & hob, fridge, microwave and is very well equipped.

A laundry room adjoins the cottage, with washing machines, tumble dryers ironing board/iron, over flow fridge & freezer.

Electricity, heating, bed linen is included in tariff.

At the front of the cottage, there is a BBQ area with patio table and chairs, a BBQ is provided. There is also an area laid to grass and to the side of the cottage there is a large top field for ball games etc.

We accept 1 well behaved dog at £30

Ample parking for 2+ cars.

Please note: Our changeover day is Saturday

A Public House, Bakery, Farm Shop, are all in the village.

Nearest Post Office can be found at Mount Ambrose.

Supermarkets are Tesco & Aldi at Redruth, Tesco Extra at Pool and Sainsbury's at Truro.

Lovely cosy cottage

Lovely clean cosy spacious cottage. Great as a base..Comfortable and relaxing, Equipped with everything you would need. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.

Excellent place

The cottage was lovely. Decent size and the communication with the owners was quick and detailed. It was in a nice location, within driving distance of various parts of Cornwall (A30 junction a minute's drive away). It was well equipped with everything that was needed, but it did lack bin bags, toilet roll and dishwasher tablets so bring spares if you are coming. Overall, I would recommend and would come back!

I will check with our Caretakers, as we always leave 1 bin bag in the swing bin ready for use and 2 spares under the sink. We leave a tub full of dishwasher tablets for guests to use and we always leave a toilet roll in each toilet, so it doesn't catch anyone out. I do hope you appreciated the attention you received for a non existent problem with the blind.

Excellent holiday cottage

An excellent holiday cottage with all amenities needed for a family (myself and my 3 boys) - including laundry, extra fridge/freezers etc. in the adjacent annexe. We appreciated the 'little things' most, though - the complementary tea/coffee on arrival, and dishwasher tablets helped a lot. The communication with Steve and June was excellent also and they were receptive to our needs. Would highly recommend staying here and we will come back again, I'm sure. Thanks Mike and family

Pure Delight ( Miners Cottage)

This is a fantastic place to stay !! The cottage itself is beautifully set in open garden space adjacent to the old Engine House with its own attractive gardens/setting and provides everything necessary for your stay The cottage is extremely spacious with extremely comfortable beds , attractive modern bath/shower facilities and a kitchen with everything you need. We just loved it and really enjoyed our break from the recent constraints Another great and much appreciated feature was its accessibility to main roads for sightseeing - a trip to the Rattler Cyder Farm is essential - and the local beaches We were only there a week and so limited ourselves to Porthtowan which was ideal in that it had reasonably priced parking and great outlets for lunch, Moomaid ice cream and v clean public toilets We also had two excellent meals at the Unicorn down from the beach where you are made to feel really welcome but booking is essential as the season moves on Other great bonuses were the local farm shop and Prima bakery each two minutes away and providing lots of Cornish treats including fabulous pasties Our hosts were extremely welcoming/easy to deal with and the whole experience was an absolute delight

Miners Cottage was lovely.

The property was lovely, facilities were great including the extra freezer and fridge in the garage. I would recommend the Miners Cottage to anyone wanting a holiday in the St Agnes area.

Fabulous property, five minutes from Porthtowan Beach

Fantastically well equipped, tidy and well laid out property. Great beds and a fully equipped kitchen. Multiple washing machines and tumble dryers so never a problem to wash and dry anything. Location is so quiet and away from the North Coast madness.

Fabulous Holiday Cottage

The Miner’s Cottage is a fabulous holiday home. We had an excellent holiday there. It is spacious, well equipped and situated in an excellent location for exploring Cornwall. The cottage was very clean, had good wi-fi and off-road parking. We would definitely return for another holiday.
