This delightful holiday cottage is the perfect place for a memorable stay on the North Devon coast. Sleeping four guests, it is just 2.5 miles from the golden sands of Saunton Beach; a popular destination for swimmers and surfers, as well as families. After a day on the sand, very little will beat returning to this pretty property to enjoy the last of the sunshine in the flower-filled, enclosed garden, or putting your feet up in the chic interiors.
The stylish lounge is a bright and inviting space to relax in, with comfortable seating arranged around the TV. Watch your favourite film before heading into the kitchen/dining room to prepare a hearty home-cooked family meal. The two attractive bedrooms include a double with a door out to the garden, and a twin room with zip-and-link beds that can be made into a super-king-size on request. A modern bathroom completes the interior, with a shower over the bath and a WC. The front and rear gardens provide plenty of space to enjoy the summer weather, with a decked patio, lawns and abundant seating.
For those keen to explore, there are several attractions to discover nearby, such as the Grade I-listed medieval church of St Brannock, and Braunton Museum. Or you could take a ferry ride from Ilfracombe (7.5 miles) to see the puffins and possibly a pod of friendly dolphins following behind the boat. After a day of adventure, you can let someone else do the cooking in one of Braunton’s many welcoming restaurants.

If you want to stay somewhere on a bus route this is for you, very busy road, double glazing doesn’t work, inside windows are filthy and the handles are very stiff and need an overhaul. The bathroom door is crooked so every time you shut or open it you have to bang it. The battery in the front door bell does not work. When floor was changed in the lounge presumably from carpet to wooden flooring it was done so badly you have a 0.5 - 1cm gap between skirting board and new floor. Wardrobe in twin room broken with an apology note on it, the children who did the damage are they paying for a new one? Had to retune the telly twice because you couldn’t get the basic freeview channels
The skirting boards are all filthy. There are damp marks in the corners of some of the rooms. I would doubt that a serious clean by the Housekeeper of this house has ever happened. There are cracks, knocks and marks all over the walls. There are cobwebs in the velux windows, and the blind is a struggle to use in the extension. Not a three star bungalow at any stretch of the imagination!
