It is ideally located in front of La Concha beach; every point of interest in the city (beaches, Old Town, restaurants, bars, shops, etc.) is just a few steps away from the apartment. Wet, moldy appartement and horrible service

The appartement wasn‘t in a good conditions. The corners were very dusty and the bathroom moldy. One bathroom was completely unusable, because the water in the shower isn‘t draining and the whole bedroom is flooded by the water of the shower. Therefore the bathroom door is very swollen and can‘t be closed. In addition everything in the appartement was wet and it smelled moldy (also towels). My boyfriend has a strong asthma disease and had problems with breathing in this wet appartement. I tried to contact the host „basquestay“ by E-Mail and phone, but no one answered. I went to the office and explained the situation to the employee. He was very unpolite and uncomprehending! He refused to come to the appartement and see the circumstances (I even showed him the photos I took). He told us in a very rude tone, that we should just leave and that we won‘t get any refund. We left the appartement after one night and I never got any answer to my complaint E-Mail.

La localización era perfecta. El apartamento esta perfectamente decorado, tanto el sofa como las camadas muy cómodas. Sin duda lo mejor ha sido la atención por parte de Iñigo. Alguna manta extra no hubiera estado de más para gente friolera como yo.

In fairness, this is described as an apartment partially below street level and it is. The first of our three nights had us awakened at 1:30 am by a group of people partying literally at the windows. It finally quieted down but started again at 4:30 am. Their trash was left between the iron grate and the window. I messaged Basque Stay which mess@ged back that it was the first time and to call the police if it happens again. Easier said than done if you only speak English. We never met a live person with Basque Stay. The office, once we found it, was locked tight at 5:05 pm. They need to send a picture of the front of the office as there is a small rectangle that you reach through to enter a code and another at the bottom where the keys drop. This office location would benefit from using a what3words address as it’s not easy to locate once you are on the street. The parking is a chore. I wouldn’t recommend it for people using a rental car. The location is about three blocks away. They did send good instructions for the parking but it’s really tight. The apartment is about 50 meters from the promenade and a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to where the good pintxos bars are. So the location Is fine but it shouldn’t have commanded the price that it did.

Thanks for your feedback. We would like to make a couple of comments. As you say, it is the first time someone staying in this apartment complains about people partying. It is a quiet place, no bars around and no people partying. We suggested calling the police if someone was making noises outside at night as that is the way it works when someone is troubling neighbors at night. The police can understand you but we could also help with that when necessary. Regarding the parking, it is not the biggest parking space in the world but all cars have fit well so far. I mean, it is big enough for most vehicles. Besides, it is located right in the next block, not "about three blocks away". In any case, we will take your comments into account and we will keep trying to fully satisfy future guests.

Great Location!

Everything was wonderful. The apartment was clean and adequate for our needs. The only nuisance we experienced was an annoying odor at times. Also a picture of where you pick up your key would be most helpful.

El apartamento esta ubicado prácticamente en primera linea frente a la Playa de la Concha. La decoración es justo como se muestra en las fotos. Los dormitorios son amplios y las camas cómodas. Cabe decir que el olor de los baños es desagradable y llega a ser molesto. El wifi funciona correctamente y el equipamiento del apartamento es correcto. Todo y no poder disponer de plaza de aparcamiento, es sencillo aparcar en la zona azul próxima.

Great location, wonderful flat

Fantastic location-- a one block walk to the beach, but slightly outside of the old town. Clean flat, spacious, great amenities. Bathrooms are great. Kitchen is well appointed. No AC but the fans and windows kept it cool (and this was in August!) Only recommendation is to provide pods for the Nespresso machine, and perhaps some beach towels for renters to use! =)

Nice Apartment, But...

The Good: This is a very nicely appointed 2BR, 2BA lower level apartment in a great location if you want to be near the beach and town. Everything is pretty new, clean, and modern. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans. The Bad: Bring your own beach towels and gear if you want to go to the beach, or plan on renting. There's only one bath towel per person in the bathroom and you wouldn’t want to take it to the beach. If you plan to cook, bring EVERYTHING. There wasn’t even salt and pepper available. There’s a fancy coffee maker that uses pods. It was even filled with water and ready to go, but there was not one pod. No teabags. Nothing. The Ugly: We count on WiFi when we travel to avoid roaming charges. We couldn’t get the WiFi to work when we arrived. Someone came over right away and determined the router was broken. He took it away, never came back, and didn’t respond to repeated attempts to reach him. Consequently, we had no WiFi during our entire stay. We found a couple of local cafes with WiFi, but we could only use them when they were open. This was a real drag for us. Also, the apartment building seems to have a number of vacation rental units. On both nights of our stay, some drunk person who'd lost their key and wanted to get in buzzed our unit at 4am and at 7am. This isn’t necessarily the management's fault, and it probably doesn’t happen all the time, but it happened to us.

I can definitely recommend this apartment. We were 2 couples on holiday in San Sebastián for 4 nights. The location was great just 10 minutes from old town and across the street from the beach. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was easy to use. There was minimal street noise. Great showers. Not luxurious but we’ll kept apartment. As shown in pictures.
