Lovely accommodation in the coaching town of Belford. Clean and comfortable. Great location for visiting Northumberland’s coast and hiking in Wooler. We would visit again.
Had everything we needed for a lovely weekend away. Comfortable beds and cosy living area in the evening. Lovely little village and in an ideal location to visit all the tourist areas that Northumberland has to offer.
Excellent few days at Bank View. Everything we needed was in the apartment.
Location gives you great access to the Northumbria coast and beyond.
Belford is a lovely quite town.
Some lovely little extras like a goodie basket & toiletries provided.
Everything you need from holiday accommodation, very clean & quite. A garden would have been a plus but the pubs in the village have beer gardens. Ideally situated for everything Northumberland has to offer.

Thank you for taking the time to write a Review of your stay with us and such a good one. I'm very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you again. Jacqui
We were in Northumberland for 5 days, Belford was an ideal base, a quiet town with a great bus service. The Counting House was really comfortable and I would definitely recommend it.
Firstly, Belford itself is a delight and a perfect base for exploring all of the interesting surrounding areas.
The property was so easy to live in, all you could want, an incredibly comfortable bed, and everything in perfect working order.
Jacqui (owner) was really welcoming and helpful: all in all, a deserved 5 star review.
We had a lovely stay in this comfortable cottage. It made a great base for the Coastal Trail Series race around Bamburgh, climbing at Bowden Doors and exploring Lindisfarne. There is a Coop and a number of pubs within walking distance. Parking and check in were easy, even though we arrived later than we had planned. Lovely jam in the welcome pack. Thank you so much for making this a great stay!
Very clean throughout and kitchen well equippedFurnishings in lounge rather tiredTowels were of poor quality Very wornBeds were uncomfortable mattresses were worn and soft Did not sleep well Duvets thin and not very warm Pillows of poor quality Thankfully had bought our own pillows with us!This was not luxury accomodation
The owner kept in touch giving accurate and detailed instructions on entering and had even put the heating on for us so that it was warm for my epderly mother.
In brief. It as spotlessley clean, well equipped perfect location and very comfortable beds. We couldnt have asked for more. Thank you Jacqui and Craigwarm when wd areived.

Just returned from a week staying at the Counting House and I can not praise it enough.
Arrived at the accommodation and Jacque the host had left a basket with lots of goodies in it , tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, jam, honey and milk in the fridge.
Also a lovely touch was fresh flowers on the dining table.
Property was spotless and very spacious.
It felt like being at home, kitchen had everything you could need.
Communication was excellent
Lovely pub opposite the house which did excellent meals and staff and customers where very friendly and welcoming.

Lovely, clean property. Great central location for visiting other areas. There was a regular bus service through the village and a co-op. Check before you go to the pubs or hotel for food, they either dont do it, or it's only served on certain days or times. Don't presume their websites are up to date. The chip shop is nice, but very busy.

Just what we were looking for
The Counting House had everything we (family of 4) were looking for - enough space for everyone, clean, well equipped and some lovely personal touches. The location on the Market Square in Belford was perfect for the 20m sprint to the Black Swan and the only slightly longer trip to the Coop. Despite this we can't confirm the mentions of traffic noise in some reviews - the occasional bus really doesn't count in our book! Belford itself is also a great base both for the coast and inland. All in all a 5* location - thanks!
