Lovely cottage with great quiet location for what we wanted to get from our break.
Lovely cottage with great quiet location for what we wanted to get from our break.Would stay again. Unsure if we had to pay for WiFi or not but it never worked for us.Free use of high chair which was great, thank you , will recommend to others.
Weekend with friends, 6 of is, celebrating a birthday. Great accommodation, deceptively large, very comfortable and convenient for many villages. Pub and village shop in walking distance, both very lovely. Would highly recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised with this cottage.
We were pleasantly surprised with this cottage. The location is great and the village interesting. A lovely shop that literally does sell lovely things nearby and the local pub does good food.
The owners were friendly and helpful.
The cottage and garden were a little tired and unkempt in places. There were lots of nice touches, but the shabby stair carpet and rubber mats just inside the door give a poor first impression. As do the old duvet cover in the double bedroom and the vintage ‘Noddy’ curtain in the bathroom. ( A clean small blind would have been so much nicer. )
Generally, people who consider renting holiday cottages expect the accommodation to be at least comparable to their own houses - it was just ok.

Lovely cottage and location, sadly the Red Lion was closed but no ones fault.
Lovely cottage and location, sadly the Red Lion was closed but no ones fault. Parking tricky but manageable, Christmas decorations in the cottage, open fire, and everything you need for a lovely comfortable stay, excellent shower and its great to have a bath too. Will definitely be back and would recommend. We've staying in the smaller forge cottage next door and would say this is larger with the added bathroom and bedroom, rustic original features which we love.

A nice cottage in a good position for coastal walks although on a quite busy road. The bedrooms were fine and there was both a bathroom and a shower room. The central heating was excellent. But the cottage was rather spoilt by very poor lighting especially in the kitchen, and poor curtains and general decor. We did not use the garden but this looked extensive and attractive.

Overall, a very comfortable and cosy cottage.
Overall, a very comfortable and cosy cottage. Good location for walks over the Saltmarshes and Norfolk coastal path, and access to Cromer and Hunstanton. Local pub good for all day meals. Garden a bit overgrown which impeded access from parked car to front door in rain. Porch light did not work. Parking area was on gravel slope beside cottage and not easy on busy road.
Supposed to be for three cars but we were glad it was only our car that week. we have 4 day break in October.

On holiday with my family for a week, we had a wonderful time in North Norfolk and the cottage was delightful. Beverley and John were very friendly hosts and gave us a warm welcome. The cottage itself was clean and spacious with a large garden that is shared with next door. In this COVID era we were asked to bring our own towels and we'd been told that the kitchen only had essential items but we didn't need anything more than what was supplied. We also used the bbq a couple of times which was plenty big enough for the 4 of us.
Stiffkey is a lovely small village with a store which serves delicious coffee, croissants and cakes as well as groceries, although they are not cheap! The Co-Op in Wells is the nearest decent sized grocery shop. We also had a very good meal at the Red Lion pub in the village. It seems to be a very popular hostelry when the sun shines!

Nice cottage in a great location, shame about the extra charges
Overall this was a really nice stay. The cottage is well located in Stiffkey a short walk from the excellent Red Lion pub and is a good base to explore the North Norfolk coast. The cottage is spacious and decently equipped, the double bed in the main bedroom is very squeaky but apart from that minor thing, no issues. The only thing I would highlight is that there is an extra charge for pets, even for a short stay. It would be much better if the charge for this (and for towels) was included in the overall cost to make it easier to compare with other properties. Overall though I was happy with the stay and we had a great time

We had a wonderful stay in the very pretty and secluded Blacksmith cottage, which is charming and has not been modernised too much - which is very important to us. It's full of atmosphere and in keeping with the lovely village of Stiffkey and the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. The owners couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. We had some lovely food and local walks. The local stores and Red Lion Pub were great and nice just to be able to walk to. We couldn't have had a nicer or more comfortable stay, returning to an area we know well and love.
WE HAD A PERFECT SHORT HOLIDAY IN THIS ATTRACTIVE AND WELL APPOINTED COTTAGE. I COULD NOT RECOMMEND IT MORE HIGHLY. JOHN SERGEANT

Judith and I were greeted by the Owners and made very welcome, the accommodation is "quirky" for sure but splendid just the same. There were little things that made us feel at home such as tea and coffee, washing up liquid, hand soap, shampoo, etc., bed very comfortable, fantastic wet room shower, well equipped kitchen with matching crockery and cutlery, excellent pans, pots and utensils. The local pub is just a short walk and serves good food whilst Wells Next to Sea, Blakeney, Morston and Cley Next to Sea are all in easy walking distance and excellent bus service made the car surplus to requirement. Judith and I could not find any fault.

Lovely cottage.
Lovely cottage. Recommend everything apart from the car parking which is not easy if the road is busy. Lots to do in the location and walking to the marshes was the highlight of the few days there.

We booked this a month before we were due to go so not much choice. Our location was more important.
The cottage is not your modern new build but the charm and feel for this 300 year old property is evident as soon as you walk through the door. The kitchen is fully equipped and had everything we needed . Gardens attached are beautiful and views over the village are wonderful. The owners are really lovely and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Only negative thing I could mention is cost of taking your dog maybe should be included in price like most rentals and possibly and include dog bed and blankets , which again have been provided at other rentals.
All in all we had a wonder Easter staying at Blacksmiths and would definitely go back in future, location for us is brilliant and can’t wait to see the finished Smithy!

Lovely comfy and clean cottage.
Lovely comfy and clean cottage. Before we went I called for information about getting the cottage key and the man I spoke to (presumably the owner) was very nice and told me lots about the area, where to walk and which pubs were good, which was very helpful. We were a group of 6 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. The cottage was very homely and the kitchen was very well equipped. The location is great for walking and exploring the coast, and there is a pub within walking distance which serves good food. There is also a good village shop nearby. Overall a great cottage.

Lovely cozy cottage in North Norfolk village, ideal for exploring. Great for groups or families.
We stayed as a group of friends and found the cottage had everything we needed. We were able to take a dog too and there are lovely walks nearby. Great location for exploring North Norfolk and only a couple of minutes walk to shop and pub.
The cottage is full of character and charm and was very cozy (we went on a chilly weekend in March).
The owners are very friendly and offered useful tips ahead of our stay. Check in was easy. We’d definitely stay again.
