This cottage is perfect for anyone who after a busy day out can return and relax in the peaceful surroundings. A short walk away is a pub offering a good selection menu and comfortable surroundings. Most places of interest are within an hour or less driving distant. The owners are very friendly and helpful if you require any advice. All in all we would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a relaxing holiday.

A lovely, cosy cottage.
A lovely, cosy cottage. Ideally situated as a base for visiting places in the Cotswolds. There are fields, with public footpath, near the cottage, very handy to take the dog for a quick walk in morning and evening. The Greyhound Inn, Siddington is dog friendly and has really good pub grub with lovely staff. For something a little more special The Crown Inn in Ampney Crucis was excellent, walking distance from the cottage.
Perfect cottage for a getaway to the heart of the Cotswolds. Capital city Cirencester a few miles away, pub almost next door. Cooking in the cottage was possible but limited, but the whole cottage was very comfortable even in the very cold weather we had. Would go back again any time of year.
The Charming Village of Ampney Crucis is a Great Location to Explore the Cotswolds.
Jayne and Nick are charming and gracious host! We very much enjoyed staying in their cottage and we loved the charming village of Ampney Crucis. And the Cotswolds City of Cirencester is very close, less then a 5 minute drive. The cottage is a great location to explore this region of the Cotswolds. We traveled to the cities of Bath, Gloucester, Oxford and just about every place in between. Truly a great place to be!

Lovely cottage for a short stay with two children and a dog.
Lovely cottage for a short stay with two children and a dog. Main bed was SO comfy and kitchen well equipped.
Only draw back was there is no garden at all that a dog is allowed in so I did just have to take her out for a walk first thing and before bed which was a bit awkward with two young children. There are plenty of places to walk but it would have been good for this to have been made clear before booking.
I would also highly recommend The Fleece in Cirencester for a dog friendly high end pub and a fantastic meal - good value too.
The property was really lovely. The apartment is attached to a historic property that was once a bakery and now is a lovely home in a quaint village. We overlooked a beautiful garden and across the lane was a cricket field and alpaca farm. A short walk on a path takes you through a scenic route past fields and streams to the Wild Thyme and Honey Pub and Crown Restaurant with wonderful food and drinks. It had everything we needed and more. We busted the Stroud Market on Saturday and walked Broad Avenue in Cirencester then headed to the lovely town past shops and great cafes. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and enhanced our stay.

Sylvia & I have stayed here on a number of occasions over the past few years. Jayne & Nick are great hosts, friendly & helpful. Some things had changed due to COVID-19, but overall it still was a great stay.
Our stay, this time, had to be curtailed early because of the impending lock-down.

A lovely cottage with excellent proportioned rooms.
A lovely cottage with excellent proportioned rooms. The wooden beams really add to the character of the place. The local area was great with a dog due to easy walks from the front door. No local shop in the village being the only downside.

Very nice place.
Very nice place. Good and helpful hosts. Accomodation has everything you could want-only a two ring hob (Plus microwave/oven) so cooking limited but not a problem in hot weather. Lovely garden with nice outlook over fields which was great in the weather. Good pubs nearby and Cirencester only a short hop. Would highly recommend.

This was the fourth time staying at this property, the owners are always very welcoming.
This was the fourth time staying at this property, the owners are always very welcoming. The cottage has a basic kitchen, 2 ring hob, a microwave with a convection oven, fridge and washing machine everything you will need. The WiFi is reliable and the TV has freeview.
The cottage is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. There are a few footpaths around the local Ampney villages and fields if you want a little stroll. The Crown of Crucis pub/restaurant is just down the street, and the food is good but not cheap. They also do a takeaway menu.
The amenities of Cirencester are a couple of miles down the road.

Very relaxing weekend break in this gorgeous and quiet home. All equipment was provided subject to covid restrictions. Garden area was in the front of the cottage and parking is on the road. Lovely welcome from the owners and nice pub in 5 minute walking distance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bakery Cottage and would love the opportunity to stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bakery Cottage and would love the opportunity to stay again. It was almost perfect, with the only downside being the cooking arrangements - no proper cooker so having to choose to either use the microwave or the convection oven. That said, with the right choice of meals (if you are eating meals at the cottage), we had a 2 course meal every night we ate there. The cottage acts as a great base to explore the Cotswolds and the hosts were very helpful with their local knowledge. Overall, this cottage is an absolute gem of a find 😊

Nice accommodation and friendly owners.
Nice accommodation and friendly owners. Would have preferred the garden to have been enclosed and grassed (for the safety and comfort of our dog), and an off-road parking spot would have been nice too - but otherwise all decent value for the money
