These two holiday properties (refs W43292 and W43293) are situated on the fell side overlooking the pretty Kentmere Valley and are surrounded by beautiful countryside. Adjacent to the owner’s home, the properties are set in a peaceful location and are an ideal base for walking, fell climbing, touring this unspoilt area of the National Park or just relaxing. Enjoy the beautiful ever changing scenery from the accommodation and stroll the many footpaths of this picturesque area, or for serious walkers there is the challenge of the Kentmere Horseshoe. Visit Haweswater, Troutbeck, Long Sleddale, and the whole of the Lake District can be easily reached by car. Staveley, 4 miles, has ample shopping, tea shops and pubs serving meals. Fishing permits can be bought for Kentmere and mountain bike hire is also available locally. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Absolutely gorgeous property and views! The cleanest holiday cottage we have ever stayed in! Top of the range of fixtures and fittings, and everything worked perfectly! The kitchen and bathroom were beautiful and looked brand-new

Netter Vermieter, alles sauber, sehr einfach ausgestattet aber perfekt zum abschalten. Tolle Wanderwege direkt vom Haus aus um mit der Natur eins zu werden. Wer einen Haarfön braucht sollte ihn mitnehmen.Auch bei Regen eine tolle Aussicht durchs Fenster.

Fijn, schoon huisje dichtbij Lake Windermere. Heerlijk rustig, maar wel afgelegen. Slechte telefoonverbinding, daarentegen is de wifi wel prima. Hou rekening met een smalle weg naar het huisje toe, dus rustig rijden en regelmatig achteruit om een tegenligger door te laten. Lake Windermere is prettig toeristisch en Ambleside een erg leuk plaatsje iets verder weg. Aanraders: Wastwater en (old man of) Coniston

This accommodation was exactly what we wanted.

This accommodation was exactly what we wanted. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and practical. It has stunning views and is very peaceful. The owner is lovely and welcoming. We booked it for the rural location and we got it. However, if you want to be able to walk to a shop, pub or restaurant then it is not for you. We loved it !!

great holiday though out in the sticks but lovely and quiet, only thing was no towels supplied, which I overlooked on booking as they are usually included. spent the first day looking for some where to buy them, in a holiday area not many shops sold them. lovely views and we were lucky with good weather.

The cottage was excellent and in a stunning location. We enjoyed our stay there and would consider booking the same cottage or the one next door on another occasion. One small point I would make is that I think it would be helpful if the fact that towels are not provided was highlighted in the details.

Very nicely appointed and comfortably appointed cottage with wonderful view of the valley and fells.

Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be closer to the real Lake District without having to be part of the 'crowd'. Only drawback was the lack of mobile signal but got round this with the internet connection in the cottage.

Loved the place, and everything we needed was provided. Great views and plenty of local walking. Would definitely book again. Obviously you won't get a supermarket etc just round the corner, but that's exactly the appeal.
