Very quaint, clean and quite
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was very clean and homey with lots of seating arrangements to sit and talk. The location was central to the State Park and other points of interest.

Weekend gathering with family
Overall the place was very homey but the listing states there was a Queen bedroom and there were only full beds. Also lists a second half bathroom which we didn’t find. Some of the chairs wet were in poor shape as was several other things in the house.

A Happy Thanksgiving!
Our family of 6 stayed at the property for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. This is an historic home, so you have to trade some conveniences for quaint charm. We liked the location, homeyness and beauty of the home/grounds.

Cozy and peaceful farmhouse
We very much enjoyed staying in this beautiful and charming old home. Very clean and it had everything we needed. We hiked a lot and wished we would have had more time to enjoy the back porch and creek! Nate was a great host too!

My name is Nathanael Hughes, I played college basketball at King University a division 2 school in Bristol, TN where I graduated with my MBA in 2016. I own a financial planning practice in Johnson City, TN. My passion is the great outdoors, my family, friends, and meeting new people. I have grew up in east Tennessee my whole life and can give a local flavor of advice to anyone visiting.

Why they chose this property

This house was passed down to me from my grandmother who grew up at 212 Heaton Creek Rd. This place holds a special place in my heart because of the sentimental value that it possesses. I think it is a great opportunity to allow others to have the experience that I have had growing up here farming, fishing, and enjoying the sights that it has to offer; whether that is for a day or weeks at a time.

What makes this property unique

Views, Wildlife, Privacy, located a few miles from great attractions( Bristol Motor Speedway, Carvers Gap, Grandfather Mountain, Beech and Sugar Mountain, Roan Mountain State Park and others)
