The hosts were super helpful, responsive and friendly. The place is super clean, in a gorgeous setting and only a short car ride from the beach & Duns. As nice as anywhere we have stayed in South West. Definitely recommend and would love to come back.
Amazing spot. Clean, spacious, well-appointed, in beautiful surroundings. Great hosts - very welcoming, with brilliant recommendations. Would very happily return.
absolutely loved our stay here. close to so much. beautiful space. great kitchen and wonderful hosts! Could not have been happier. Only thing to be aware of was that only 1 bar of 4G at the property and the wifi isnt reachable from the house - but we only needed it for basic internet needs so it was fine on 4G (but if you planned on doing some work or streaming videos you may have some challenges). But everything else was just so great! They have a load of DVDs there which was so much fun too. Absolutely would come back!
We loved every minute of our stay. The extra large windows allows for stunning views of beatiful bushland. We loved the loft design and cosy fireplace.Paula and
This property is perfect for a couples getaway. We stayed 3 nights and found the home thoughtfully appointed. The location is also great, between Dunsborough and Margaret River.
I would highly recommend!
It is the most wonderful retreat! Every day of our stay was an absolute blessing. We arrived to find freshly baked bread, warm from the local bakery and wine waiting for us in the fridge. The facilities are extensive - we cooked at ease and also dined at local eateries. The views from the floor to ceiling windows were incredibly soothing and the hammock a delight. Our host, Phil, was kind, considerate and shared many invaluable recommendations. Completing part of the Cape to Cape was a highlight too… there is much to see & do - all nature-based. We will definitely stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is great with all the space & amenities one could need. Location was very central for exploring the SW area. Hosts were helpful & available, otherwise we didn’t know they were there.
Definitely recommend
A gorgeous tranquil retreat in the bush. Fabulous hosts who left a warm load of bread, a jar of their own honey and a lovely bottle of wine.Close to everything but secluded enough to feel away from the hustle and bustle.
We had a wonderful stay! Surrounded by the beautiful bushland, the cool ocean breeze through the trees and birds softly chirping made it so relaxing. Phil and Paula were fantastic hosts, the bottle of wine and fresh bread were such a thoughtful touch. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable. Thank you again Paula and Phil!
What a great break away at Paula & Phils place. Great property very well set up to take full advantage of connecting with nature. Very thoughtful touches with fresh baked bread and also a great bottle of Shiraz. One of our most relaxing breaks away down south in ages made all the better by our fabulous hosts, Paula & Phil. We cannot recommend a stay Orchid Moon highly enough.
Beautiful apartment for two attached to main house but very private. Gorgeous bush surround where you can sit and enjoy the moment. Would recommend and hope to return
My partner and I had the best stay. The place is incredible - we generally stay away from properties that aren’t completely private but we had the best experience. The location is perfect, so close to so many different places which was perfect for us as we love to explore. Paula and Phil are such genuine people I’m actually glad we got to run into each of them. They were both so thoughtful and helpful with anything we needed. We wish we could have stayed longer and we will definitely be back!
A beautiful space, with high ceilings and surrounded by bush. We could light fire each night and then wake up to watch the local roos walking past us from a great bed! Would highly recommend
A place to enjoy with all the senses.
Comfortable, with everything you need to spend a few days as a couple.
The attention of the hosts is excellent, they left us a delicious bread and honey to welcome us, a bottle of wine and delicious avocados.
The kangaroos visited us every day.
The location of the accommodation makes it easy to enjoy all that the south west has to offer.

So glad you enjoyed your stay and our location with your visits from our resident kangaroos.
Very quiet, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Spacious living area, comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen, but do wish they had a microwave for reheating food. Tried the oven on the last night, but couldn't get it to work. Otherwise, a very pleasant and relaxing five night getaway from city life. The loaf of bread and honey was much appreciated. The wine too, although we didn't drink it.

It’s unfortunate you didn’t contact us when you couldn’t operate the oven. It’s as simple as turning on the timer to activate the oven.
Couldn't have picked a better place to stay! It was just what we wanted - log fire, great kitchen, lovely outdoor area and tranquil bush setting. It was also a perfect area for what we wanted to see and do.
Phil and Paula were lovely hosts and so accommodating providing great tips for places to eat and visit (thank you).
We will definitely be booking there again 👍
Thanks Paula and Phil,
Just what we needed and wanted! Relaxing, peaceful, tranquil surroundings with an extremely well equipped and beautifully decorated apartment. Everything we could have hoped for!

Why they chose this property
This region has been our home for a few decades now and we have been fortunate to raise our family in this amazing place. There is no greater gift than to live in a beautiful place with fresh clean air, clean oceans and stars that are perfectly visible on a clear night.
What makes this property unique
When you can lay in bed and hear the waves rolling in the distance, the birds singing, watch kangaroos hop by or the wind rustling through the trees…. All from your comfortable king size bed it doesn’t get better than that. A quiet area from which you’ll only be woken by nature and natural light you can relax and enjoy this tranquil space.
