About this property

Family friendly, 5 min drive to the hot springs and a short walk to the beach.

Capel Sound cottage is an old but refurbished house, located conveniently to many of the attractions in the area. It has an updated kitchen and an updated bathroom.
Our house is a 5 min walk from the beach, and a 5 - 7 min drive from the hot springs and the shops. Golf courses and wineries are all just a short drive away.

We offer basic but comfortable accommodation. We keep things simple by not supplying quilts, bed linen or towels, so you will need to bring your own. We only supply mattresses and pillows. Please check our reviews to be sure that our home is suitable for you.

BEDDING
- The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed.
- Bedroom two has a bunk bed with a single top bunk and a double bottom bunk.
- Bedroom three has a single top and bottom bunk.
- There is a double fold out sofa bed in the living area, for extra people, however we don't recommend using it other than as a back up.

Our house has exterior cameras at the front of the property. There are no cameras inside the property.

Great Stay

Great layout, great value

Nice place to stay with 3 adults 2 kids (3 and 5). Plenty of space and a big garden. The location is pretty good (3 blocks from Rosebud beach). House itself is old/pretty tired but has had a reasonable renovation and the kitchen is well stocked with quality cookware. Would happily stay again.

Weekend Getaway

Perfect. Clean and well presented. Will definitely return. Asking guests to bring their own bedding is a great way to keep the cost low. Very reasonable price for what was on offer.

Good beach house

Close to beach, fairly priced, mix of average to excellent amenities. The accomodation is on a full block not attached to other buildings. We stayed on a very hot summer weekend and the cooling was sufficient in bedrooms and excellent in main living areas. Decent gas stove, good fridge, dishwasher that works well, good washing machine

Cute place, could do with a good vacuum especially behind the furniture, discovered whilst going through the arduous unplugging of all electricals when we left. Ex process was a lot. Would be nice to have at least one dishwasher cube in the house. Overall lovely place

Rosebud Stay

Well resourced. Lots of crockery and cutlery etc. Problems were little ones, floor and surfaces were not well cleaned, rubbish under sofas and needs a full sized broom. Mattresses were fairly thin so could be an issue for some.None of that is major. Lovely place to share with family

We were happy with the property and the beds were comfortable. This is an old house with some quirks, but the reno provides all modern amenities expected for 3star accom. Happy to stay again.

Clean Stay but Lacking Essentials

The house was very clean and well maintained, which I appreciate. However, there were no blankets or towels provided, which made the stay less comfortable. It would be great if these basic essentials were available for future guests.

Great for family getaway

Comfortable home and convenient location. Walking distance to picturesque foreshore and short distance to all ammenities and beautiful morning peninsula beaches and features. Very spacious with huge backyard, perfect for relaxing and peaceful location. Will definitely book again.

Very bad experience

The property was dirty , they had nothing no blankets no pillow cases and the bbq grill was so dirty that it got caught on fire and my fathers face just burnt
