From the Highlands of Europe to the Highlands of North Carolina, the Storybook Manor provides livable elegance that is casual yet timeless. Luminous and fresh, the manor is refined rustic, opulent yet inviting. A home that celebrates the look of natural wood bathed in sunshine with artfully done inlays scrolled from nature's bounty. Exuberant shapes in an understated scale create a livable resort feeling suitable for homes with an unpretentious casual elegance. Architectural details including rustic timber frame elements and its reminiscent influences of a charming European Village, give this home it's "storybook" feel.
The Home is surrounded by landscaped gardens, babbling brooks, meandering trails, and beautiful vistas. Enter the property through a pair of stone pillars and cross a boardwalk bridge that is elevated over the lush gardens below. Once inside, you find the native stone fireplace that soars over 20 feet from floor to ceiling and light streaming in through windows set high above the grand living room. The kitchen is outfitted with professional grade equipment and room for multiple cooks. On the main living level you will also find one of the two master suites with a queen size bed that affords easy access to the kitchen and living areas. Ascend the grand staircase to the upper level library that looks over the great room you will also find the second master suite with a king sized bed. This suite includes a large sitting area and private covered balcony that affords a tremendous view over the property. Below the main level is the guest level complete with living room and another native stone fireplace. Bedroom number 3 has a queen bed and bedroom 4 has full size bunk beds. Access the garage and the guest cottage with full kitchenette and Juliette balcony from the main level boardwalk. This serves as the 5th bedroom with a king bed (the bed can be separated into twin beds upon request. Please let us know in advance and we'll be happy to take care of that for you).
