Very nice cabin; spacious and well appointed with games, puzzles, boats, fireplace and fire pit. Beautiful lake, nice dockside deck down below at the waterline. Wish we had more time to enjoy there.

Thank you John for the great review. You are welcome back anytime. The cabin is always lovely in the Autumn when all the leaves change colours. Hope to host you again.

Great cottage on a beautiful lake. All the toys provided were great (kayaks/row boat/ paddle board/floating pad) and successfully entertained 10 adults. Sleeping accommodations were good as well. Thanks Tina for the wonderful experience.

We are so happy that you had a wonderful time at Kabakwa Cottage. Thank you for the great review.
The location was great for our 2-family party of 8. The quiet surroundings were wonderful to experience and get away from it all. The property is well stocked with all the impliments and utensils you could need. Relaxing on the dock or spending an evening at the campfire gave us time to reconnect and recharge.
Though we enjoyed our time and the property, a little more attention to general maintenance and in particular the dock area would further enhance guest experiences.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your suggestions. We had a scheduled dock maintenace for August. The dock was updated and all minor maintenance was done right after your stay. We are glad you had a great time during your stay at Kabakwa Cottage.
This property was fantastic in every way. The location was great, and access to Lake Kabakwa was a major plus as the host graciously provided canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, and a lily pad that got tons of use. The service was above and beyond as it was extremely well stocked with essentials including bug spray, sunscreen, and even snacks. The host maintained great communication and responded to all inquiries very quickly. Would definitely recommend.

The host was very responsive! The cottage was stocked to the max with condiments, basics like sugar, oats and flour. Everything worked. No wifi.Beds were comfy. The lake is beautiful. Caught fish right off the dock! Saw 2 pileated woodpeckers next door and there's a loon family on the lake. Fairy lites to guide the path to the dock at night. The weather was cold, windy and wet most of the time while we were there, but we could make a fire in the fireplace and in the outdoor firepit to be cozy and the location close to #35 made outings accessible.
There were nine of us in our family group ranging in age from 4 to 63 years of age. All of us had a fantastic time. Swimming and water play were the highlights. We found the fact that the sun didn’t reach the west facing dock until noon a real plus. Afternoon and evening sun was wonderful. The upstairs area held a family of five easily. Lots of fans (no air conditioning) and beds. The host kindly left special treats for the kids as we had an 8th birthday to celebrate.
It was an amazing family holiday together thanks to a well equipped waterfront area, the fire pit, beds galore and great weather. Tina is a responsive host and very helpful.

Thank you Linda for the great review. We are glad you had a great time. Hope to see you back again. A pleasure to rent to such responsible guests. Thanks again, Tina
We enjoyed our stay on Kabakwa Lake. Our group was 4 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of room in this cottage. The kitchen was well equipped. There are lots of games/videos/activities to keep the kids busy. There is no air conditioning but each bedroom has fans for those hot nights. The dock is a short walk down the hill from the cottage and has 2 kayaks, a paddle board and a row boat. The kids had a great time on the floating mat and there are tons of sunfish and small mouth bass just off the dock. The cottage is westerly facing so you get spectacular sunsets over the lake. Kabakwa is a rocky bottom lake, so no weeds and great for swimming. We would go back to this Halliburton Highlands Hideaway again!
