Lovely property and great outdoor area for entertainment for Christmas day. Accommodating host who organized bbque for Christmas day.. was awesome. Thank you.
Ramp was great as Mum is in a wheelchair. Ideally for pet friendly would have preferred that we could close off the property.Bedrooms all fine, living area was roomy enough.

Hi yes we just extended the deck. Will be looking at how put more gates up
This is a very comfortable home in a quiet location close to Greytown’s lovely shops. We found the cigarette smell at the entrance a little off putting but inside was clean and tidy and we enjoyed our stay, it had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. We would happily stay there again.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Good location and size. Comfortable. Cleanliness was disappointing. Stained sheets (washing powder empty) utensils drawer etc unclean, cobwebs, needed a good vacuum.
We had Christmas with family locally. Great leave to stay had everything we needed we clean and tidy and perfect for our stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Really nice house, heaps of rooms, comfy beds & pillows, lots of pillows. Lots of space, great outdoor table, very quiet street, and wheelchair ramp was a bonus, i would highly recommend this property, totally worth it.
Good solid property with just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. Two little niggles; no Tea Towels and I certainly would have expected Wi Fi for the price charged

Hi Andrew there was 10 pack of brand new tea towels in the bottom drawer.
We had a lovely stay in Greytown. The outdoor area was so cute and the house was a good size. The only downfall is we found about 6-8 cockroaches indoors during our stay. Other than the cockroaches throughout parts of the house, it was a lovely home that was well priced!

There not a lot we can do about them the house had just been bug sprayed. At this time of year they seem to be coming in.
Clean property with clean bedrooms! A big bathroom with heater makes the stay comfortable. We used the heatpump as we had some cold nights and that was quick and easy to use and to heat up the house. Communication was very easy, pleasant and fast.
The house was as described - we were comfortable.
There are a few quibbles. The jug was no longer automatic and had to be turned off at the wall. Ditto the toaster.
The lighting was very poor and not fixed since we were there in April. Air Freshener and hand wash were both empty.
Bathroom door did not lock.
Too many cushions in bedrooms and no where to put them.

Hi sorry I didn't no about jug..it was all working the week before. I check toaster and all working ok and lock on bathroom work as wall .and I did message you regarding the lights as I'm in the process of getting a electrician. There was 4 working. I put a lamp in the lounge as well to help with lighting. Cushions where there last time you stayed I haven't added more. Kind regards Lisa
This is the worst holiday home we have ever rented, and we have rented holiday homes all over the world over the last 11 years. We had 5 nights/days with 4 adults. The fridge never worked, the TV reception was so bad when it rained or blew, it was unwatchable a lot of the time. The host did not provide respond to us until we had complained to Stayz/VRBO. Only then did she reply to our concerns, and finally gave us wifi details and password on the afternoon of day 4!! but did nothing about the other main issues.Apart from these 3 main issues there were a number of issues arising from a lack of cleaning and a very distinct lack of maintenance, eg lamps that did not work, no rubbish bin in the kitchen or outside, curtains hanging off the curtain rails, roller blind that did not work, no toilet roll holder in bathroom, non working smoke alarm, dirty oven etc. The outside of the house is very dirty and covered in cobwebs, the gardens and lawns are neglected. There is junk in the carport. We asked Stayz/VRBO for a partial refund and they just closed the file and said they would not answer any further enquiries. Don't use Stayz, there are better alternatives available.

I responded to every message. He sent to me ASAP. explained, I did not realize the fridge was not working. We had high winds that week in the wairarapa must of Affectea the tv ..internet I was there on the Wednesday day night getting it all sorted. It was going when I left everything is up-to-date and fixed now new fridge.. I was apologetic about the fridge. Smoke alarm was working Oven had been claimed that week. She'd missed a bit in the corner that she didn't wipe. Lawns had been done that week as well.. I had good reviews bit disappointing get this . feel like your just going around finding things rong
There's lots to be said about this property, it's in a great location, walking distance to the high street and lots of trail walks, as well as driving distance to many attractions in the surrounding area.
The property itself has so much potential and it just felt like it was a tired property, that just needed a bit more care put into it, to really live up to its potential.
On walking in, the surfaces around were all dusty. It wouldn't hurt to go in a property beforehand and just wipe down the surfaces - make it more welcoming for your guests. The fridge was full of leftovers that really needed to be thrown out, most likely from last travellers, but judging by some items, they were left long before.
Walking down the hallway to the bedrooms, the hallway door had been pushed too far in the last clearly as the door handle itself made its home inside a hole in the wall. Bedrooms were lovely, plenty of plush pillows and towels provided, a big plus.
The living room had nice furnishings too - the tv was dated and in today's age, travellers would expect more than just the standard satellite tv channels - think Netflix, or Sky, something a bit more. The couches themselves were also tired, showing clear signs of wear and tear. The carpet too also had burn marks across it.
Wifi wasn't available either initially, but the box was hidden away in a cupboard, presumably trying to prevent travellers from finding and using it.
The property has lots of potential it just needs a bit more love
Great little stay on greytown just way we needed and plenty of space. Highly recommend as a spot for toast martinborough when martinborough is too busy !
