Fabulous open floor plan with big sunny rooms is practically on the beach! High quality furnishings and finishes, fresh pillows, bed coverings all beautifully decorated with great supply of current books for your instant enjoyment. Flat screen TV's in 2 rooms plus family room. Home is maintained to high standards and many of our guests return year after year. Enjoy ocean breezes from the covered front porch and our wonderful outdoor shower. Family room is open to the gourmet kitchen with granite tops and dining room with country farm table. Two very large bedrooms with private baths on main level together with a powder room and laundry room. Master Bedroom has walk-in closet so large many families use as a toddler room with a crib. Beach level has two additional bedrooms and share a full bath. All queen size beds with excellent mattresses. Property maintained with great attention...hardwood floors, quality furnishings and fresh and clean appliances. THREE car parking. The best location just up the block from the Starboard and Sunrise for breakfast! In season beach service available, umbrellas, chairs and food stands. Trolly Stand (seasonal) at the end of our block. We find that guests that want to bring their dog make a huge effort to help maintain our property as if it is their own to preserve this special treat for others. NOTE: Please message us about your dog(s); sorry we are unable to accommodate cats due to allergies.

Great Stay!

Home is 25 steps to a wide beach. Dog friendly home. Large front porch that was perfect spot for coffee or cocktails, and can be secured with a gate to keep dogs or children from roaming. Kitchen is very well stocked with spices, oils, etc., and plenty of pots, pans, serving platters, etc. quiet location, but still convenient to the main strip for bars, restaurants and other amenities. In addition to the 3 and 1/2 baths, there is a convenient outdoor Shower and foot washer just outside the front steps. Jon was a pleasure to work with—we hope to be back in the future.

Great Home steps from the Beach!

The house has plenty of space to relax, large main room where we all could be together and fantastic porch looking out on the beach and ocean. Fully stocked kitchen made staying in preferable. Jon was super responsive and easy to work with. 2 master bedrooms with baths was perfect for the adults! We love the location as it is just blocks from anything in Dewey.

Wonderful location and a beach setting.

The house is literally steps from the beach so the location is excellent. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the deck and listening to the surf and watching the ocean in the distance.

Beautiful, spacious house super close to the beach!

Our family stayed in this home during the COVID-19 pandemic (July 2020) since it was not in a hotspot location. It was a great choice! The house is absolutely beautiful and has a lot of open space, which was nice since we had 3 families including children of all ages staying together. It is fully stocked with plenty of dishes, a couple coolers, coffee pot and toaster, etc. It was also impressively stocked with boardgames and card games, a few toys and LOTS of good books. You do need to bring your own linens and towels. The master bed is particularly comfortable! We spent a lot of time out on the deck, which has a nice sitting area with a view of the ocean. This house is right next to the beach so it's easy to walk back and forth as needed during the day. The Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach areas are really nice; we wished we could get out and explore more in shops, restaurants, and the boardwalk, but COVID prevented that from happening. We would love to go back to this beach and this house!!

Our family has been coming to the DE beaches for decades. We live in the Washington Metro area and love how close Dewey is to home yet when we arrive we are a million miles away. We park our car upon arrival and walk or take the trolley around town.

Why they chose this property

We chose Dewey Beach because we love the proximity to the DC area. It takes as little as 2.5 hours from door to door for us. We also love that Dewey has a small town feel with lots of 'Mom and Pop' owned restaurants and shops to frequent. One of our favorites is 'SUNRISE' for breakfast, they have a diner like feeling and huge breakfasts. Most of all we chose Dewey Beach because it is DOG FRIENDLY, dogs are allowed in the early morning and evening hours. Walking on the beach with our dogs is like being in another world and always a highlight of our vacations.

What makes this property unique

My favorite thing about our house is its proximity to the beach. From the front porch I can watch my kids and family walk to the beach. It is also easy to get back and forth for all the little things you need back at the house. Dewey also has full beach service so if you need to rent chairs, umbrellas or get a hot dog or ice cream it is all available. The beach is a very social place but there is always room for more.
