The apartment:
A difficult accommodation to improve due to its large size, its carefully considered decoration and its well-thought-out layout. A 300 m² duplex penthouse with an external terrace located in a listed building equipped with a lift.
With capacity for 11 people, it has 5 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and 2 toilets, 2 large separate lounges, independent kitchen and a charming terrace to enjoy sunny afternoons and mornings.
On the ground floor are the common areas and the master bedroom. Entering to the right there is an enormous living room decorated with three beautiful spaces, flanked by two large palm trees that give it a summery feel. The living room receives plenty of natural light and has access to a terrace decorated with artificial grass and equipped with a small bench to sit on.
On the left, you can see the kitchen, with a giant and beautiful dining table in a space decorated in vintage style and with stylish wallpaper. Magazine-worthy.
Next, there is the television lounge, enormous, with a large L-shaped sofa for 7 people. Pure luxury. Large smart TV. Crossing through this lounge you find the master bedroom, with 2 separate dressing rooms, very bright and peaceful and decorated with a 160 x 200 cm four-poster bed. From this bedroom you access a huge bathroom with a separate toilet.
Returning to the entrance we find the staircase leading to the second floor, an enormous and secure iron staircase that leads to a corridor from where the remaining 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms are distributed. 2 bedrooms with a double bed of 150 x 200 cm and another two with single beds (one with 3 beds and another with 2). All the bedrooms have been decorated with the greatest comfort of the client in mind: headboards, bedside tables, bedside lamps, beds and mattresses, all of the highest quality. All the bedrooms have wardrobes or shelving. The bathrooms have a bathtub and shower.

IMPORTANT: This apartment is only offered for seasonal rentals, in accordance with article 3 of the Urban Leases Act (LAU). Clients will sign a seasonal rental contract upon arrival.
Online check-in is mandatory in accordance with current regulations and must be carried out through the MitHouse app/webapp. During this process, the MRZ band of each guest's identity document will be read to extract the data required by the authorities. It will be essential to have a mobile device and internet on the phone to access the apartment.
For stays longer than 28 days, a deposit of €1,000 will be required, refundable at the end of the stay if no damage occurs to the accommodation.
Respect: In order to ensure good cohabitation and respect for neighbours and residents, this apartment may be equipped with a 24-hour noise monitoring system. Guests are obliged to comply with the established quiet hours at all times.
Please note that a late check-in from 21:00 to 02:00 incurs a supplement of 70 EUR that must be paid in cash.

Very large apartment on a great shopping street. Our family of 5 was in Madrid visiting our child during her semester abroad and this apartment was ideal for us. Everyone had their own bedroom and plenty of space. The building itself is a very nicely preserved older apartment complex with many charming features like the stained glass foyer, spiral staircase, and the vintage elevator. The apartment itself is a blend of updated spaces (kitchen) and original features. Communication was great and check in process was efficient. Would definitely return!
This is a fantastic, spacious, comfortable airy apartment in a perfect, central location. The remote check in and door system works brilliantly.

We had a wonderful visit in Madrid! The apartment was perfect! It was very spacious and comfortable. The location was great for shopping and walking to restaurants and other attractions. The staff was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. I can’t say enough nice things about our experience. We would definitely stay here again!
We stayed for 3 nights. The house is spacious and clean. The location was perfect, close to shopping and food.
The only complaint is that the bathroom in the downstairs suite was not fully functional . The tub did not function and had no shower head, so 7 people were forced to use 2 bathrooms.
Great space for a group of friends or a family, including a nice balcony, 3 baths, and 4 toilets.
Excellent location - close to Plaza del sol, shopping areas, great restaurants, and casas.
The only downside is the compromised maintenance - the bath is always floated, hard to close the balcony door, and the A/C was leaking in one of the bedrooms.
And yet - highly recommended.

Pros Huge! GREAT location! Laundry machine is the best I've encountered in any Europe rental thus far, did a very good job washing AND drying - a real luxury on an extended trip. Cons Two showers for 8 people isn't ideal and one shower head was broken, so had to be handheld. Master bed still not fixed, haha. See prior reviews. Check in was not good - company was not that responsive, and I got conflicting information. When we finally got in to the unit, the maid had barely started cleaning at 3 PM.

VERY poor condition but otherwise well-located and spacious
We stayed in the property as a family of four with two grandparents. While spacious and well-located, the property was in very poor condition - closet door fell off on opening, visible dirt/dust in corners, etc. The bathtub in the master bedroom on the main floor was also not functional which meant my elderly parents had to go up the stairs up to the top floor to shower. The mgmt company also charged the deposit rather than just blocking the amounts — I had to call them after two weeks to get the amount refunded. When I raised the issues with the mgmt company during our stay, they said they would send someone from maintenance to fix what they could, but no one ever came.

Regarding the security deposit, we’d like to clarify that we do not charge this amount but rather place a temporary hold on the card. Once the condition of the apartment is reviewed after check-out, and assuming everything is in order, the hold is released. However, the time it takes for the funds to reappear in your account depends entirely on your bank's processing times, which unfortunately we cannot control.

This was great location. Apartment was nice, but the master bedroom has no working bathing options. So you have to go up the stairs. Luckily I was able to go up the stairs. So basically master bath is a half bath. Otherwise things were good. No coffee or salt and pepper. Trying to get deposit back and having a tough time to communicate with them. Hoping they respond promptly to get this matter fixed. There was no book inside the apartment to explain trash, places to go etc. Our trash was very organized with recycle in paper bag etc, but they are trying to charge me 50 euros when they did not respond to my email in the app of how to handle trash. Communication is the biggest problem, I would say. Otherwise a good place.. We love Madrid.
* The rooms and hallways have a persistent moldy smell.* The apartment is dusty, which is a serious concern as my son has allergies.* There were crumbs left on the kitchen table upon arrival.* The AC unit in the main floor bedroom is not functioning at all.* There is insufficient soap provided.* The kitchen counter is broken, with sharp edges near the washer—posing a safety hazard.* A step in the living room (on the right side) is broken and unsafe.The AC units were not cooling with the Madrid heat.A sunshade in one of the available rooms was broken and kept the room extra hot.Called the management company and was told someone would come fix things within 1.5 hours. No one came. With children who have allergies this was not a safe environment and since no one responded after multiple calls and an email, we left and had to stay in a hotel.
The apartment is very spacious and bright, plus is in an excellent location for us, close to shopping, restaurants and really inside Madrid downtown. The MIT House team provide us with great support during our stay, allowing us to leave our luggage in the office before our check in, also helping us very quickly when we have an issue with the lock app. I highly recommend this apartment for family groups, like us.
A great appartement with plenty of space for 10. Location is perfect if you like it lively on a main shopping street. A great base for exploring the city.
I will start this review by saying that the property is super well located in the center of the touristic part of Madrid. The property is spacious and very comfortable, has enough rooms. The most serious problem we saw was the air conditioning, the property is very old and some of the mini splits do not cool enough. When we informed the property owner about the issue, they sent a technician to check it out, so far so good. Some were not fixed, some were not and the technician even agreed that it was very hot in the property and that some air did not cool. When I contacted the property owner again they answered me saying that there was no problem with the air conditioning. When I told them that even the technician had confirmed it, they told me that the technician had not said anything. In conclusion, the master bedroom was hot all our stay and my mother-in-law ended up sleeping on a sofa because she could not stand the heat. The room where the girls slept was also a bit hot. One of the bathrooms had a broken shower so the entire bathroom got soaked when you bathed, the tubs and sinks were half clogged and the cleaning was poor, one of the bathrooms had the dirty papers from the previous people.
The neighbors were a bit rude, one of them even kicked us out of the lobby while we were waiting for the taxi while leaving because he said that we were paying for that electricity. It was rude and impolite considering that we were not there for free. In general, the property is not bad, but I think it needs some maintenance and better customer service, listening to the needs of the renters and resolving them.
The apartment was in the best location. However, the main bedroom had a broken bed
The property manager was unable to repair the bed in the main bedroom that had obviously been broken for some time. This resulted in us sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Our vacation esas interrupted by multiple repairmen arriving to attempt to repair the bed. Ultimately the repair never happened and our stay was interrupted multiple times with no resolution. The manager was very cavalier in his response without any concern for assisting in a resolution. Avoid properties by MITHOUSE like the plague! VRBO should not retain this client as they have no interest in resolving concerns.
We had a great time staying at this location. Everything you need is minutes away. Property was spacious and great for a large family.
