In the Letras neighbourhood, known by this name due to its proximity to all the city's museums, one of Madrid's most charming areas. Located on a very quiet street, it is a third floor in a small building without a lift.
This two-storey attic with a terrace is truly impeccable. With capacity for 10 people, it has 4 private bedrooms located on the upper floor, of which 2 have a double bed and the other two have 2 single beds each.
In the apartment there are 3 full bathrooms with shower. All on the ground floor, distributed between two large spaces: a spacious living room and a kitchen with dining area.
The renovation of the apartment has been a great success: specially designed for the comfort of the 10 guests, it has created spacious, bright and pleasant spaces.
The decoration has been thought out down to the smallest detail and has been adapted to the latest design trends: mixing furniture inspired by retro eras, a variety of colours and original antique pieces, as well as colourful modern art on the walls.
The jewel of the apartment is the terrace, very large, with furniture in the shade and furniture in the sun. It has a fantastic orientation, with sun practically all day until the afternoon.
The apartment has air conditioning and wireless Wi-Fi.

The online check-in is mandatory in accordance with current regulations and must be carried out through the MitHouse app/webapp. During this process, the MRZ band of each guest's identity document will be read to extract the data required by the authorities. For stays exceeding 28 days, a deposit of €1,000 will be requested, which is refundable at the end of the stay if no damage is caused to the accommodation.

The location is amazing - proximity to museums fantastic - lovely neighborhood.The smell of backed up drain in one bathroom, hence the whole apartment is AWFUL. Mit House answer - incense.Note bathrooms on one floor, bedrooms upstairs via narrow metal circular stairs.Place needs paint and general fix up.We didn't mind the 5 floor walk up, but the online key is is awkward and difficult -disfunctional when we arrived and from time to time. DO NOT let your phone battery die, or no access.
Great apartment with amazing location. The app used to check in was difficult and took a lot of work to check in each individual guest. The app also worked as the way in and out of the apartment so if you didn’t have service or you phone was dead there was no way to enter the house.
Very great location. The best way to check in was to call the support line. They were very helpful and took care of everything.

Stay in Madrid
First impression was not good, as the garbage was left at front door when we arrived, which we reported and it was removed by the time we got back.Aside from that, the apartment was clean and comfortable, furniture and appliances are a bit dated. It is very well located, within walking distance of major landmarks, like the Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor, Puerta de Sol, etc. Lots of bars and restaurants near by to choose from.Overall, it was a good property that met our needs.
Instructions for dishwasher and washing machine and stove would be helpful.
1 bedroom had no AC.
The entry door APP only worked every 4th time. So we struggled with that. Overall it was fine.

A week in Madrid
We shared this rental with another family for our party of 10 on a recent weeklong trip to Spain with our kids.
Positives:
The location was wonderful. In the heart of Madrid with many east options to see local culture as well as tourist sites. The size and layout of the apartment work great for a larger group and easy family hangouts. The kitchen was large, and made family meals together easy. There’s a nice patio outside that also was a nice play area for kids and hang out area for adults.
Potential downsides to consider:
The apartment is on the third floor and it’s probably 80 to 100 stair steps to get there from the street level. All of the bedrooms are on the second level of the apartment and all of the bathrooms are on the first level of the apartment. There’s an air conditioning unit installed and one of the bedrooms but it doesn’t work well and it does not get good airflow in that bedroom. The stove is difficult to use. There are no condiments at all in the kitchen and minimal else other than silverware to help prepare food.

Good: The apartment is great. Truly. quirky layout, lots of rooms and bathrooms. Lovely roof top terrace. Bad: The check-in requires an app that is very glitchy. Hosts were not helpful and said to keep trying. App is required to unlock doors, so is important.We were there during the huge power outage, meaning we couldn’t get into the apartment without the app. We sent emails with our name, phone number, address of the stay, yet even 12 hrs later when the power was back they responded only with “what is your reservation number”. Locked out of our apartment, no food, little money, passports inaccessible, no where to sleep WITH THREE KIDS… and they couldn’t be bothered to make the effort to look us up. To this day, they have not expressed the smallest amount of sympathy or apologized for the stress and inconvenience. NONE OF THIS WOULD BE AN ISSUE IF THEY GAVE PEOPLE ACTUAL KEYS. Obviously the power outage was no fault of theirs, but their lack of effort and responsiveness was disgusting. They could have easily written emails to all their stays with help/info/options, that would have automatically sent once the power resumed. But they took a nice little break and ignored all their stranded guests… KNOWING WE WERE LOCKED OUT. You’ll likely have a nice time if you stay here, but INSIST on a physical key and do not take no for an answer. There IS a lockbox, but they refuse to release the code to renters.

The location and air conditioning of this apartment were amazing! It was super clean, spacious, and comfortable. The patio was so relaxing and with beautiful views. Very close to convenient restaurants and stores. We would absolutely go back!

Great location
We had a really enjoyable stay. However there were just a few issues. 1, the app said apartment 3 but it was actually 3rd floor so we struggled with getting in but we made them aware so hopefully this has changed. 2, the far bedroom had no air con amd was very hot for the members of the group in there. They opened the window and the window to downstairs to try to let heat out. 3, the photos are out of date. For example the pull out blond on the terrace is very broken and doesn't pull out and there is less furniture out there, and a broken cupboard in the kitchen. Things generally are much more tired than it looks though functional. 4, as someone said be aware there are a lot of stairs. It was fine but there are a lot!
Overall it did exactly what we needed. The location was good, it was nice to have the terrace and the toilets were small but it was convenient having 3! It was useful to be able to leave our luggage too.
Not as advertised. Two AC units were not working, the water pressure was so poor we could not shower. Half of my family incurred additional expense of booking hotel rooms as it was not possible to sleep 8 without water pressure and AC. The property manager purported to report the issues to their “maintenance department” but nothing was done to fix the issues. A shame as the property has potential but needs major improvements to be as advertised.
Location is great, it was clean. The patio is nice. The rooms were just what we needed.
The stairs up to the apartment are extensive!!!! Be ready!
The air mattress never worked and they never replaced it.
The check-in process was confusing. I had to actually go to the MIT office to completee the process. I felt that was extremenely inconvenient and due to a lack of communication on their part.
Water pressure and hot water was terrible. It rents as an apartment for 10 so they should be prepared for that many people. We ran out of water often and pretty much did not have hot water daily.

En effet, nous avons du contacter à plusieurs reprises l agence mithouse :
- difficulté à accéder à l’appartement par smartphone malgré nos 8 pré-inscriptions sur l'application
- durant notre séjour : aucune pression au niveau des 3 douches, dont l'une était bouchée !!
- fuite constatée sous l'évier de la cuisine (et déclarée par nos soins)
- un état général dégradé et opposé a ce que laissaient entrevoir les photos Abritel (une cuisine rongée par l'humidité, pas de poignée à la porte d'une salle d'eau, des WC à peine scellés au sol, la bâche de terrasse déchirée ...)
- un ménage très "approximatif" (une paire de chaussettes sales retrouvée dans une salle d'eau !!, des rideaux encrassés)
Ce n'est pas notre 1ere expérience de voyage à 8...mais de loin, le plus inconfortable ..
Le prix payé initialement ne correspond pas du tout à la prestation attendue ! Et l agence intermédiaire mithouse qui ne cesse de gagner du temps pour répondre et toujours repondre dans le vide
Appartement très bien situé, l’état général pourrait être amélioré.
La procédure d’arrivée et de Check in ,entièrement sur une application smartphone à buggée , du coup génère un peu de stress.
Mooie locatie, gezellig appartement maar ook wat minder prettige dingen.
Zie boven. Inchecken lukte niet via de app. Riolering stonk erg in de badkamers.

This apartment was perfectly located with short walks to amazing restaurants, Plaza Mayor, and Mercado de San Miguel. It was perfectly quiet at night despite a bustling street life below. Check in was app based with help from the owner when we had some simple questions. The apartment was large enough for our group and had a nice common area for hanging out. We loved it and will return if in Madrid again.
