We had a wonderful stay at the hideaway, the accommodation was luxurious and relaxing.
The hideaway was lovely and quiet, and we could only hear nature surrounding the property. It was a fabulous spot for a few days, the kitchen was fully equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. We both had great night's sleep and enjoyed using the hot tub in the evenings.
Absolutely wonderful stay in The Hideaway. So private, calm & well equipped with even a record player! Loved the hot tub, fluffy robes & home baked scone on arrival. Will definitely be back!

The Hideaway is the perfect stay!!
The Hideaway was the perfect location to stay to explore north Cornwall. The Hideaway was like home-from-home, it was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a weeks stay! The Hideaway is located near so many wonderful beaches and places of interest (personal favourites being Crantock & Holywell beach). The hosts (Stephen & Dean) were very welcoming and were happy to help us when we run out of fire lighters (for the fire / hot tub). The hottub was a fab touch!

Lovely stay in this stunning accommodation within a great location.
We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Hideaway. The rooms were all stunning and had clearly been very well thought through with some great touches, particularly in the kitchen. The hosts were very friendly and on hand to answer our questions and provide some info about the area. Tregoose is a short drive from so many desirable areas and was great for getting out to do some walks. We really didn’t want to leave and will definitely be looking to stay here again.

Tranquil and quiet
Beautiful old mill updated with modern touches, without losing character. Perfect for a couple wanting to get away to have quiet time together. Dean was really welcoming and quick to respond to any queries! Home from Home feeling. The outside bath was a lovely touch but does take lots of time to warm through. Plenty of wood to go in burner.

About the host
Hosted by Host
Steeped in history, Tregoose Old Mill dates back to 1750 and stands on the site of an old monastery which befell the anger of Henry VIII during the reformation. The original altar stone can still be seen in the garden and the stone that was used to build the mill is reportedly from the former monastery. A working flour mill has been on this site since the late 1400’s and stopped milling in the 1920’s. The original waterwheel was destroyed many years ago when a group of local boys re opened the mill leat which then washed away the decaying wood structure leaving only part of the original mill wheel spindle which can still be seen on the lower side of the building.
The current owners and feel honoured to be part of the next stage of the mill's history. Our first holiday cottage; The Hideaway is unrecognisable now following an extensive refurbishment in 2018. Our desire is to provide luxury country coastal living in surroundings that invite you to relax, enjoy time and forget your phones for a while.
