Good lodge
Very nice lodge, clean and comfortable. One small fault, no rubber seal on bath plug. Would stay here again.

Thank you, Derek, for your kind review. We are so pleased you found Tarn End Lodge clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. We appreciate you mentioning the missing rubber seal on the bath plug—this has been passed on to maintenance to resolve. It is lovely to hear you would stay again and recommend the lodge to others, and we would be delighted to welcome you back for another visit soon.

Great weekend stay
Great location within the park, quiet area. Lovely decking and an added surprise of a little private garden. Beautiful interior decorating and comfy beds.
All the kitchen items we needed and condiments available. We would definitely book again.

Cosy and tucked away
We have stayed in various lodges at White Cross Bay over the past ten years. This was the smallest we have experienced but perfectly acceptable for the two of us. The accomodation is well equipped and user friendly. The heating is easily adjustable and the hot water is extemely hot (beware) and plentiful. The TV is large, furniture is comfortable, good ambient lighting is achievable through thoughtfully provided table lamps. These things contribute to a good 'homely' feel. Noticable, when compared with other lodges we have stayed in, was the lack of cobwebs above eye level, hinting at a thorough cleaning regime.
Criticisms - uncomfortable bench at the table. Four chairs would be better. The windows would benefit from blinds rather than just curtains as the lodge is somewhat overlooked. The lodge is situated in a rather dark area which gives it a slightly claustrophobic feel.
If location is not a priority, this lodge is a very good choice for a couple though perhaps a little cramped for a family of four.
