The Space:

Cypress-by-the-Sea is one of the original oceanside vacation cottages in the wonderful Seabright beach neighborhood of Santa Cruz. This pet friendly ocean view home is just three houses up from the sands of Seabright beach! This historic home has been thoughtfully updated while retaining some vintage charm. This two story house has three bedrooms, and two baths. There is a separate living room, dining room, and laundry room off of the kitchen. There is plenty of space in this house for the family to gather after a fun day at the beach!



Two bedrooms have queen size beds, the third bedroom offers two single beds.



One dog is allowed with property manager approval and the payment of $100 non-refundable pet fee.



There are also several restaurants and cafes all within walking distance of this house, as well as Seabright Beach!

A special week away

My friends and I came to Santa Cruz to commemorate a family loss and had the most peaceful and comfortable time. Having the beach steps from the house was magical, and the easy walk to the Boardwalk added so much joy. The location was great indeed, but the house was very old and not well maintained. We saw the other low reviews and thought they were exaggerating, they aren't.We had to leave a night earlier because we didn't sleep well. Main bedroom windows does not close and you can hear the mile bouy all night. Courtains are translucent, very hard to sleep for light sensitive people.Dining room chairs were broken, pee stained curtain in downstairs bedroom, stained carpet in the main bedroom, smelly dirty rug stored in kitchen cupboard. Ant invasion was the last straw and we left.

This house was perfect for my family. The proximity to the beach was great. At night you could hear the ocean waves. The house was well stocked with the essentials and very clean. I will definitely stay again.
