This lovely home, and deck with water and mountain views offered a slice of Paradise. We would gaze for hours on the deck and enjoyed happy hours, long conversations and meals. The house offered everything we needed from comfy beds to great linens. The kitchen and accoutrements had everything we needed. Our last morning a moose mama and her juvenile offspring walked out of the water onto the grassy area and munched away.Such a special treat!

Happy you got to see some moose, hope you’ll come again soon.
This home was all about the view and the kayaks. There is really no reason to leave as the kitchen was well equipped for great meals and the view was so phenomenal. We had fun kayak excursions and nightly conversation was about the social activity of the Canada geese. We watched a moose walk across the swallow part of the lake and were visited daily by a cute cat. Everything about the Grand Lake home was perfect.

Flatlands and others will love the view and the pelicans
The view of the lake is excellent and we enjoyed our outdoor time. The hosts were good communicators. We had no problems with access and parking. Some basic upkeep is needed including a toilet seat that had the paint peeling off. This is unsanitary at best. The owners have a couple of canoes and kayaks. The canoe in storage by the lake was designed to have an outboard motor. The aluminum support structure makes this canoe very heavy and difficult (impossible) to use especially in the very shallow water that extends from shore to approximately 100 ft. You can hug the shore and navigate away from this area, but even so the tolerances are very tight on where you can paddle. A lightweight canoe would have been appreciated. In balance, the cost was high for the rental in comparison with other Vrbo rentals.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the lake views, outdoor space, and that communication and access were easy during your stay.
We’re sorry about the condition of the toilet seat. We agree that it should have been replaced, and we’re addressing that as part of our ongoing upkeep.
We also appreciate your comments about the canoe. The lake’s shallow shoreline can certainly make launching and paddling more challenging, and we’ll take your suggestions into consideration as we look at improving the watercraft available to guests.
We’re always working to balance maintaining this special property with keeping the rental affordable, and we appreciate your feedback about the value as well. Thanks again for staying with us and for helping us identify areas where we can improve.
This was a perfect place to stay for my family of 5 adults. We spent most of our time cooking or in kayaks. The kitchen was stocked with whatever we needed. Having kayaks ready out back was a huge convenience and highlight of our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. We plan to stay here again!
