Wonderful house in Massanutten! Very spacious clean & comfortable. Two beautiful decks. Convenient parking, we brought 2 cars. Amazing views! Close to everything Massanutten. Easy check in and check out. We will definitely be back!
The property was really nice. Not a walking distance to the ski lift but close enough. It was perfect for our four families getaway. Will definitely recommend it and or stay here again.
We were a group of six including adults and teenagers. We loved the spaciousness of this home! There was lots of room to hang out together or separate. We also really enjoyed the balconies and patios. The closest national park entrance was Swift Run Gap and it was only about a 20 minute drive. The kitchen was also stocked enough with pots and pans for us to cook several meals in. Overall, we loved this place and it was perfect for our trips to Shenandoah National Park!
We arrives to 5 inches of snow in the driveway. We shoveled the snow way and was brought a bag a rocksalt and did that. The kitchen need a can opener I am a cook and needed more frying pans. The view is wonderful
Ideally - I'd like to be able to separate out my rating for this house.House size, layout, and location - 5 stars. We loved that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. Lots of dining on the main level so that everyone could eat together.Everything else - 2 starsBoth grills were unusable, causing us to go out and buy more food that we could then cook inside. However, the kitchen was missing a few key items: oven mitts (!), can opener, spatulas, liquid measuring cup, cutting board, and small pots and pans. There were a handful of items that could use attention/replacement- missing light bulbs, dirty bath mats (bring flip flops), stained bedspreads, broken furniture (careful with the wicker couch), and the gas fireplace didn’t work. All-in-all, with some TLC and stocked kitchen items this house had potential!
We stayed here with a group of 8 for golf and played both courses at Massanutten. We loved the open dining area for meals and there was plenty of room for cooking in the large kitchen. This is an older house that needs some upgrades but comfortable.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it for up to 4 couples but I just want to give our opinion of a few things that potential renters might want to know. David was available to talk to so feel fine to communicate with him. The house was clean and furnishings nice. Very large living areas and 4 bedrooms of good size with a bathroom in each. It could use updating with fresh paint and kitchen sink/counters and a few of the TV’s which were the old tube type could be updated. Driveway is steep and parking limited. I would rent again.
House outdated; not well maintained; 3 of 4 TV’s did not work; gas fireplace in main living room did not work; kitchen not well equipped; microwave door broken; king bed extremely uncomfortable; walls need painting; only two blankets for a house that supposedly sleeps 12. And more. Sent 3 emails to host with summary of deficiencies.Positive note…the maintenance staff, Joel and Gage, were responsive and helped where they could. Would not recommend this property given its current condition. Stayed there 3 nights over Thanksgiving 2025.
