2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, Sleeps 2 - 4
My mother moved to the Shenandoah Valley in 1969 with 3 children and 1 one the way. I was the one on the way. In the fall of 1970, My Uncle Joe, Aunt Jackie and my mother, Nancy, began Shenandoah River Outfitters with two old aluminum canoes and a dream. I started Mountain Whisper Cabins in 2005 after purchasing the cabin I grew up in and settling back into the Valley.
Andrea purchased this Cabin in 2009
Why Andrea chose Rileyville
The Falling Leaf was added to my cabin business in 2009. My, Uncle Joe, wrote, “[Shenandoah] I dipped my paddle in your life and you refreshed me.” The valley is a place to fill your soul in all the seasons, and I would like to share it with you.
What makes this Cabin unique
The Falling Leaf log cabin has beautiful views, wood burning fireplace and is nestled within walking distance to the Legendary Shenandoah River.

Christmas at Falling Leaf Cabin.
We spent the week of Christmas at Falling Leaf. On Christmas Day we enjoyed sitting around the firpit outside. Great area, plenty to do and see, very relaxing. Beds in the loft and downstairs were very comfortable. Opening the window in the upstairs loft made it the perfect temperature for sleeping. We did not use the hot tub but it looked clean and very nice.
Thank you Andrea for sharing your cabin with us!
Rustic with comforts of home. 15 minutes to everything we wanted to do
The house is very cute and cozy. However we checked out same evening we arrived because of the Smokey smell from fireplace and we never lit a fire and uncomfortable mattresses.
I am sorry that your stay at Falling Leaf was not a good experience. I make every effort to make sure the cabin is clean and comfortable for each guest. I personally oversee all of my cabins, including their condition before the arrival of guests. The cabin has a wood burning fireplace, and is advertised as so, the beds are newer and I have had no complaints. Glad you found "The house is very cute and cozy."
Thanksgiving Get away
It’s was a great little cabin. I thought from the pictures that there was a flat back yard that led to the river but it’s a little walk down the road to get there. The boys had fun non the less running around in the woods but wish I hadn’t packed the soccer goals! Cute little cabin within driving distance of things to do ( hiking, Luray caverns) or great location to just hang out and enjoy some down time in the valley.
All around good exeperience
