The property is beautiful. The cabin is clean and cozy. Our children really enjoyed the hot tub and game room. It was the perfect amount of space for our 2 families - 4 adults, 2 boy teenagers and 2 girls 10 and 12.

Our friends and family spent a long weekend here to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday. The place is really charming with its rustic cabin decor, expansive enough to spread out with a big enough main room that a larger group can still all hang together. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need to prepare a meal. We loved the big dining table and all the rocking chairs on the porch
My husband and I met up with some of our best friends that we hadn't seen in almost 5 years, since we all live in different states now. We had the most wonderful weekend, relaxing, cooking, laughing, hiking, and just enjoying each others company on this beautiful property. It was cozy, clean and quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We all left with happy hearts.
What a wonderful experience! The house is absolutely beautiful! The location is great! Would stay here again! Only downside is the hot tub wasnt fully working. Only two jets were working and the hot tub was the deciding factor to stay here. Otherwise we couldn't have asked for a better time and vacation well needed!

Thanks, Mark for your review. I wish you would have contacted us about the hot tub during your stay. We have a technician who is very responsive, usually the same day, who could have addressed your concerns. We will have him check it today. We would love to have you back in the future.

The cabin is exactly what you want when ‘imagining staying in a cabin’ — aesthetically perfect cabin. You will require an AWD or 4WD the climb up makes it even more amazing! It’s quiet - but in <15 mins you are smack in the middle of all that it Ashville! PERFECT LOCATION. Amazing layout for 3 gen. Family! Hosts are fantastic! VERY VERY CLEAN.

This is a beautiful home in a spectacular setting. The home is well supplied with lots of attention to detail. We spent most of our time on the porch enjoying the many rocking chairs, but the rest of the house was lovely. Great location near Asheville and an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The driveway and road to the home is steep, but as others said, very doable. We did rent an all wheel drive based on other reviews and were grateful to have that feature. We had a wonderful trip and would recommend this home.
Nice log cabin well back in the woods. Ad states four-wheel drive recommended, but we had no issues (summer time, no snow or ice). Extra large washer with two large dryers. Only 4 stars for cleanliness due to some mold in the downstairs shower and a very dirty grill (two were available, the other was ok), otherwise very clean. Adequate dinnerware, flatware, pots/pans and utensils. All appliances worked fine. The property is quite secluded, about 15 minutes from the nearest store and off a dirt road, so best to bring what you need on the way in. All in all we were pleased and had a nice stay. Thanks.

The mildew has been cleaned and the grill recleaned. Sometimes, renters will turn off the dehumidifier and mildew will appear on the shower edge.
Thanks for your input. We're glad you enjoyed your stay.
We were celebrating my sister-in-laws graduation from nursing school. Her daughters wanted to throw a small celebration with immediate family where she could relax after years of studying, so we booked the cabin. It was perfect, we had 8 adults, all over 30 and we all had plenty of room to gather and to get away when needed. The cabin is amazingly located that you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere and yet a 10 minute ride and you can find everything you need. In 20 minutes we were at the Biltmore and on another day 20 minutes put us at downtown Ashville and all it had to offer. The cabin has everything you need in terms of picking up food from one of the nearby supermarkets and being able to prepare whatever you decide is on the menu that night. I think the best part was, when the sun went down it was so quiet you could actually hear leaves falling through the trees. It was so dark it didn't matter if the blinds were open or closed the darkness just enveloped you. I only had two disappointments, 1, the mountain laurels surrounding the property were not in bloom and 2, we didn't get to see a bear but we saw pretty much everything else. Most relaxing few days I have had in over a decade.
We stayed here as a group of 8 adults and 1 dog. We had a pleasant experience overall. The cabin was very clean inside when we arrived with towels placed on top of each bed. Everything was as expected upon arrival. All of the features listed in the description were working. I definitely recommend 4WD for getting here like the owner does. The description is very accurate in the sense that it is secluded. During winter you can see the other houses, but just barely. I imagine in the summer, you can't see anyone else.
I did have a few issues I want to point out. The first was that the fireplace gas tank ran out the first night which was disappointing, but the owner issued a partial refund. That was very nice of them. The second issue is that it appeared the hot tub wasn't cleaned out all that well ahead of our arrival. A pool net is provided in order to clean it out. The owner offered to send someone out to clean it that day, but I declined due to COVID.
The final issue was the serious "rotten egg" smell the ENTIRE stay. Every time a source of water was used, you could smell it throughout the room. That was pretty unpleasant. I've stayed in other mountain cabins with well water that do not have the issue.
Again, overall, we had a very positive experience here!
We really enjoyed spending thanksgiving at the cabin. The Christmas decorations were already up and it was beautiful. Plenty of room, kitchen was fairly stocked (would recommend bringing some essentials if doing thanksgiving like we did). Driveway is steep but manageable! We never had any issues getting in and out. There is a stream nearby the kids loved walking to. Location feels secluded but still close enough to drive to Asheville and Hendersonville. Highly recommend!
Group of friends had a great stay in Asheville! Very large cabin had something for everyone! We did miss the part where it said 4 wheel drive recommended! Like many of the houses around us, there was a steep hill to drive up to get to our secluded lodging, but beautiful at the top! Would recommend that you arrive before dark... we wondered if we were lost for 10-15 minutes, but after the first trip up the hill, we were golden!
We loved the cabin. Plenty of room for the whole family. The game room was enjoyed by the kids (older teens). The driveway is steep, but was easier to navigate after the first trip up when we knew what to expect. The front porch was a favorite for mornings and evenings.
Very clean and well stocked with kitchenware, extra towels for the hot tub and 2 keys for the house in a lock box. The driveway is VERY steep and had our tires spinning, but we always made it to the top. Our favorite local places were Hilltop Ice Cream Shop, WhistleHop Brewery and the proximity of Food Lion!
This cabin was more than we hoped for. The property was well maintained and had a hot tub that seated 6. The game room downstairs provided hours of entertainment. The cabin was easy to access and located in a great area. Some of our party plan to book this cabin again. Rebecca was very helpful with our unexpected check in process. She was prompt and professional. We did have a visit from a bear and her three cubs so be careful and respectful of the wildlife.
We had a wonderful stay at this property and have renamed it Canopy Cabin due to the beautiful, lush surrounding of greenery. The house was very clean on arrival and the host was very responsive. We were well positioned to visit Asheville and other surrounding cities within minutes.
The only thing that was an “issue” was the smell of the water but the host addressed that up front and is something that cannot be helped due to well water and the location.
We would 100% recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the mountains!
This was a lovely place, perfect for our family, siblings and their adult kids. We walked local roads, went to Chimney Rock, Asheville and 12 Bones. Mostly we spent our evenings on the porch. It suited all our needs. The driveway, yes a little steep, definitely worth it.
Cabin was great, real cabin with everything that would expect. A little further out. Gravel drive way is pretty steep. Down stairs game room was nice and down stairs room with two queen beds and sofa was really nice. A great setup for teens or younger adults. Almost like little studio flat.
The property was immaculate; however, the driveway is quite steep and you may not be able to park immediately next to the property. Overall, a great experience
