What a peaceful stay we had. The house is decorated so nice and smelt so good when we walked in. It had all the essentials, Beds were so comfy. Most of all communication with Haley was absolutely the best!
This place was great for our family getaway! The cabin was clean and convenient to all of our planned activities. Hayley was very responsive and gave us some great restaurant recommendations!!
My mother and I stayed here while visiting for my grandson’s wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The cabin exceeded our expectations—wonderfully clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed and more. We loved relaxing on the deck in the afternoons, especially while enjoying wine from the charming local winery just up the road. The host was incredibly responsive and even checked in upon our arrival, which we truly appreciated. If we find ourselves back in the area, this will definitely be our first choice for accommodations!
This was the coziest and most well put together cabin that we have ever stayed at! Hayley really has created, and put together a relaxing and stress-free cabin to unwind in. From cozying up on the couch by the fireplace, or having a campfire by the creek, you can’t go wrong with staying here!
The cabin was very quiet at night and quite comfortable. Bedrooms were small but adequate. Enjoyed sitting out on the deck eating and hearing the creek. Nice size living room and kitchen. Very close to lots of attractions and small towns.
The house is adorable! (just as pictured) It is equipped with everything you need. I felt spoiled with lush bedding and towels. The setting is quaint and peaceful and close to Linville Falls winery, a plus for us. Hayley is an attentive and wonderful host. I definitely recommend staying here!
We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy, quiet home that is comfortable and well appointed. Owner has gone above and beyond to ensure that you have everything you need, including a well-stocked coffee bar, bathroom and kitchen amenities. Great internet TV and fast wifi which is difficult to find in this mountainous area. Lovely country setting that is very quiet except for the sounds of the creek in the yard and crickets.
Hello Hayley:
Your property was exactly what we were looking for to enjoy natures bounty in Fall, and disconnect from a fast pace. Wow! Your property is not only appointed with everything a guest may need, but sits on a beautifully landscaped acre with 2 fire pits and a babbling creek. Hats off to you and your husband for a gorgeous interior and a true home. Your location sits next to some of the most beautiful places such as Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls. Most Sincerely Donna R.
This was probably the cleanest, most well-decorated, and coziest rental we have ever visited! The owners have literally thought of everything to make your stay as easy and convenient as possible - condiments in the fridge, tissues by the beds, toiletries in the bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, etc etc. It is a great location - close enough to banner elk, blowing rock and Boone, while being low enough down the mountain where you don’t need to worry as much about 4WD or treacherous road conditions. Oh, and the beds are COMFORTABLE, something you (in my experience) rarely get from rental properties. My husband and I both commented that we got just as good of a night of sleep as we do at home and how shocked we were by it!
It was so cold and windy that we didn’t get to explore the property much, but there is so much space for kids to be outside. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we know where we will be staying - hopefully it’ll be warmer so we can experience all the property offers!

Thank you for your lovely review! We really hope you guys can come back in the Spring...it's so pretty with all the wildflowers! Cheers! Hayley
My daughter who is 37 pretty much summed it up when she walked in the door. "Well Mom, you know I've always been a beach person...not a mountain lover but this place right here....I would move here and live in a heartbeat if I could." And that pretty much sums our visit up. The only negative part...we were not able to stay longer. The owners spared no expense with the amenities and this little piece of heaven was absolutely spotless. There was so much thought put into every little detail and left no doubt in my mind that the owners wanted their visitors to have the best. I was impressed before I even arrived. The communications I had with the owner were all answered within an hour and she was just so gracious. If I could rate this experience higher than a 5 star, I most definitely would.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The outside and driveway not what we expected.
We arrived 30 minutes early, so we had a chance to look around outside. The house is very close to the road. The driveway is steep and has a hairpin turn at the bottom to get to the straight part of the driveway. The pictures on this vrbo listing do not show the driveway accurately. The pictures show just a straight wide driveway leading to the front of the house, not the case. There was a huge nest on the front of the house. Not sure what kind of nest it was. Definitely not a bird nest. The grill was on the front porch and it was not clean. We walked thru the grass to the back deck and the grass was long and needed to be cut. The back deck was not clean. We walked back to the front of the house and decided to leave. We didn’t even go inside the house. We have rented many homes on vrbo in many different places. This is the first time we left and didn’t stay at the place we rented. I don’t like writing bad reviews. Hopefully the owners change the pictures to show the real driveway situation. They also need to check the outside of the home before each new renter arrives. First impressions are everything in the rental business.

In response to Guest's comments
*Hairpin Driveway: No prior guest has EVER raised an issue on the back driveway. There are two driveways in fact—the other one is a simple, straight entry used by mail carriers
*Road proximity: The Home is on a quiet, scenic country road, not a thoroughfare (says in description). Accessible home, especially key in winter.
*Bird nest: House Wrens occasionally nest under the eaves; they’re harmless and small. Nests are removed if there are no babies—last done at the end of May
*Grass: Landscaping is on a regular bi-weekly schedule. The lawn was scheduled for trimming the day after the guest’s arrival
*Cleanliness and accuracy: Our Pictures/Cleanliness/Property Descriptions are consistently rated 10/10 across BOTH platforms
The Guest's lack of communication, from time of booking through check-in leads to her unfavorable and unfounded review. We reached out a 3rd time, on the second-to-last day, only then did she finally engage.
Guest didn’t have the courtesy to mention she had left the property early, capping our chance to work things through
We responded immediately issuing a 33% refund as a goodwill gesture—something she did not acknowledge in her review
The very next guest, on arrival said "your property is very nice..."
Hayley is an excellent host. She is very attentive to your needs. The house is cute, cozy & clean. She has everything you'll need on vacation. No need to bring toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo or seasonings unless you have a specific brand. She is s also very quick with replying. The house is close to the road, however, it is a country road and less traveled. We spent nights out on the upper deck listening to the creek, playing games and enjoying time together. Thank you Hayley for a wonderful stay. Can't wait to be back.
