About a 4-5 minute walk to the beach! Plenty of room & best part was a hot tub that stayed hot with a TV downstairs with all streaming platforms.

James’ property provides a very peaceful stay right by the beach. It’s a quiet, safe neighborhood. The home itself is a cute beach house. James is very responsive, helpful, professional and kind. It was a great experience all around. I will keep this spot in mind if I return to OBX again - highly recommend!

Fathers Day 2025

This house was very nice. Plenty of space. Very well maintained. The handicap accessibility for my 83-year-old mother was perfect. The only thing I would change would be to have a roof over the handicap ramp so that when it’s raining, she would have the ability to leave the house. The location of this house is also very nice. Only a block off the beach and not far from grocery stores.

The home was designed and maintained to meet accessibility needs while also staying compliant with building codes and community guidelines. At this time, a covered ramp is not part of the structure, but I do everything I can to keep the property safe and accessible for all guests. I also provide details in the listing so that guests know exactly what to expect before arrival. I always welcome thoughtful suggestions from guests, and I am glad you shared this idea. My goal is for everyone to have a comfortable, enjoyable experience, and I am pleased that you found the home well cared for and conveniently located near the beach and shops.

We stayed here for two nights, and while the home served its purpose, it is definitely a standard older beach house that is starting to show its age. I’ll preface this by saying I’m a bit of a "Marriott snob" when I travel, so I likely have higher expectations for maintenance and cleanliness than most.The Interior & Maintenance:There are several minor upkeep items that would significantly improve the stay. The walls are in need of a fresh coat of paint, and the bed linens and shower curtain are a bit dingy. We also found that the tub plug was broken, and the Keurig wasn't working. We did notice some minor “beach bugs" inside as well. It would also be great to have some extra blankets available for guest comfort.Outdoor Spaces:The exterior of the home is its strongest suit!The Deck: The back deck offers a breathtaking, perfect view of the sunrise. Hearing the ocean every morning was the highlight of the trip.Amenities: The "under the deck" items were a great addition, though they were quite covered in pollen and required a wipe-down before use. That said, the hot tub was fabulous, and the outdoor shower had wonderful water pressure.Location: The access to the public beach is incredibly easy and convenient.Overall:The home satisfied our needs for a place to lay our heads for two nights, but it feels like it’s missing some TLC.
