Very cozy cabin that was perfect for the weekend! Close to Hocking hills, easy to go back and fourth. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking!
This property is secluded and beautiful inside and out. It was very refreshing to detox from our phones and life in general. We hated to leave and will definitely be back.
Previous reviews are totally accurate on this property. Close to Hocking Hills area and Lancaster which has some great places to eat. Perfect getaway for a couple or small family. Check in was a breeze and the property was clean. A/C kept the cabin cool on 90 degree days. Hot tub on secluded back porch was a bonus. I’m staying here again when I come back to the area.
This a very nice little place to stay. We wish that there would have been wifi because the cell service was nothing. But overall we we're happy with our experience.
The property was better than expected. The place is very secluded which is what we were looking for. It has a nice fire pit with chairs where you could hear nature and the crackle of the fire. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub was nice on the back porch with the lights. Highly recommend and would stay again.
The property is quite small but it’s great for 2 people. Maybe 20-25 minutes to get to anything worth while but if you’re coming to just relax and unwind, this place is perfect. Could use a few updates- the broken blind/lock in the master bedroom and dripping kitchen sink, plus some more pots &pans but overall the stay was great. The drive leading up to the cabin can be a little questionable if you’re not from there but didn’t have any issues. Had a nice time hiking Old Man’s Cave and Cedar Falls and relaxing in the hot tub under the deck lights was nice. Overall no real complaints. Owners respond quickly and provided a nice book on dos/donts, how-tos, and nearby attractions. Would definitely recommend.
Driveway was kinda rough big mud holes at the beginning would have been bad if was on my bike ….refridgerator door needs reversed but overall not too shabby nice and secluded very cozy cabin would stay Again 😄
Really enjoyed our stay. Very very quite and peaceful.. just right for the 2 of us.. cabin was very clean and bed to me was very comfortable. Unfortunately the air conditioner was not working, but we was able to compromise by turning air conditioner in bed room up and use the over head fans to move the air..
Sunday was nice enough to sit out one the deck and enjoy the peace and quite. Would definitely stay again, but drive a different vehicle, as we drove our 69 mach 1 mustang down, and the road back to cabin was a little to rouh.
We enjoyed our stay. We would not be able to give it an exceptional status due to a few things. There are missing and damaged window treatments in the home. The pots and pans are very worn and old. The rugs are old and dirty. There was a used, dirty pot in the cupboard which caused us to wash all the pans before use. We appreciated they provided a number of towels and washcloths, but we wish they had provided more than one hand towel. The house was secluded, but the area to get to it was a little worrisome. With attention to some of these things we would have been able to give it an exceptional rating.
Such a quaint little diamond in the woods. It was perfect for disconnecting from work to spend a little time with nature. Very well kept and clean. The hot tub was awesome after full days of hiking in Hocking Hills! If you want the basics and just need to get back in touch with nature, peace and quiet, this is a perfect selection.
It was a wonderful location to unplug and recharge! No wifi, limited cell service, just nature and a good book! We were close enough to Sugarloaf Mountain Amphitheater, we saw "Tecumseh!" We need to find the pond the next time we go!
We enjoyed our stay at Deer Haven very much. It was the perfect getaway couple's retreat for us. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, the hot tub was great for relaxing in. Our host was attentive and helpful with our needs and gave us excellent service. We would choose this special place again.
We had the best time staying at Deer Haven while visiting Hocking Hills. The cabin had everything we needed for a great stay. The large front porch and hot tub were a huge bonus! Will definitely be visiting again in the future.
