Beautiful Fairbanks

Gorgeous location. Wonderful house. Beautiful view of the sky. Easy access to town and to the great outdoors.Owner needs to pay attention to required maintenance. There is a broken window in the downstairs bedroom. Many other windows have a faulty seal, so the view through the windows is clouded by moisture between the windows. The carpets are very old, and are in need of replacing. Cat scratch damage on the edges of the couch. Some of the couch pillows are very thin, dirty, small tears. The wood around the windows needs ceiling, perhaps refinishing.The beds are comfortable. Clean linens, towels. The kitchen is very comfortable.

Whether whipping up a quick breakfast or preparing a full meal, I found all the utensils, cookware, and gadgets right at my fingertips.One of the highlights was the laundry setup—convenient and easy to use, it made longer stays so much more manageable. But what really set this place apart was the unique touch of a turntable with an eclectic music selection. It added a cozy, personal vibe to the space and was a delightful way to unwind after a day of exploring.During my stay, I was fascinated to learn about the amazing history of Chuck Morgan, the visionary who designed and built this home. The welcome book shares his story, offering a special glimpse into his creative process and the thoughtful details he incorporated throughout the house. Knowing the care and inspiration behind the design made my experience here even more meaningful and truly connected me to the spirit of the home.Overall, this home offers all the comforts you could ask for, blending practicality with warmth and style.
