Laurie's Corral-Unit 1. One queen bed behind a privacy divider, 1 queen murphy bed in the living area, a washing and dryer, WiFi, AC, and smart TV, guests will have everything they need for an enjoyable stay. Dogs of 20 lbs. or less are allowed with a $50 pet fee per stay. DOGS CANNOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED. The bathroom features a shower and hair dryer. Soft water. The space was originally created as a workshop, so it does have an exterior roll-up garage type door in addition to the normal entry door. The main sleeping area is screened from the living area for privacy. The kitchen area features pots, pans, dishes, utensils, full size electric stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Coffee, sugar and creamer are supplied. Covered outdoor seating including gas grill and firepit with wood provided. Fires may be restricted by county depending on wildfire risk. Large open parking area. 4 miles to Historic Downtown Custer, 6 miles to the West entrance of Custer State Park, 9 miles to Sylvan Lake, 11 miles to Crazy Horse, 12 miles to Wind Cave Park, 12 miles to Jewel Cave, 15 miles to Hill City and the 1880 Train and Depot, 34 miles to Mt. Rushmore and 1 hour to Rapid City. Fishing and hiking. Custer offers many dining opportunities. This building has two Units; this listing is for Unit 1. Each unit has unique amenities and are not the same. Please review all amenities.

We stayed 5 days in September 2026. We loved this place. It was spotlessly clean and adorable. So quiet! It was pet friendly with an area to walk your dog. Thomas and Laurie were great to work with and very accommodating. Next time we visit South Dakota we will definitely be staying here again.

This is a unique spacious place that is super clean and has a great location. It’s quiet and peaceful and only a few miles from Custer. So much dark sky you can see the Milky Way! Laurie was pleasant and eager to make us feel comfortable. Highly recommend.

Very convenient rental. We stayed there to do Custer state park and Mount Rushmore and it was the perfect spot. Everything was very clean. The rental was more spacious than I was expecting which was nice. Lovely photos throughout. The hosts were very prompt responding. Overall I highly recommend

We stayed for two nights. Very clean, which we APPRECIATE!! Basic amenities. Guests should know that there is only one window, in the bedroom, on the back of the building.

Water came in through garage door and got on our stuff, could hear everything that was going on next door. People outside banging around starting at 7AM 2/3 mornings. Few outlets. Very clean though, would be good for an overnight

In 25 years this was by far our best vacation. Even though this was our longest vacation-when we were leaving on Sunday-I truly did not want to go! A large part of that was our stay for 7 nights at Laurie’s - it was by far the cleanest/organized/best location/accommodating rental we have ever experienced. I can not say enough positive things and honestly can not even come up with one suggestion for improvement! And your little dog was just icing on the cake. Thank you Tom and Laurie for making our 25 year anniversary vacation the best.

The owners are right nearby, greeted us as we arrived. We talked with them a few times and Tom recommend some trails to take with our side by side. The weather was very hot and the AC in this place was super! Such a clean and organized place with a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We had ample room to park our truck and trailer. We were a short distance from downtown Custer where we met up with family and enjoyed some dining and shopping in the town.

This home was very clean and stocked with everything we would need. There were even some extras like ground coffee and sugar; plenty of towels and the grill worked great! We lived the scenery. The location is very close to Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore. The hosts were very responsive and eager to make our stay comfortable.
