Wonderful stay! The home was exactly as described and beautiful inside. Everything was very clean upon arrival. We found the place a perfect amount of space for two of us and our dog. It was very cozy and a great place to relax after our days in Acadia. Location was great- a short drive to downtown, and easy access to Acadia. No complaints at all, we loved our stay!
Second time at this property and did not disappoint- location is central to Acadia and Bar Harbor- clean and comfortable-we will stay here every time we can while visiting the area
Perfect location for Acadia and downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Extremely clean. Deer in the yard . Indoor and outdoor dining space, lovely yard for games and a fire pit.
This beautiful property is amazing. The home is extremely clean and very comfortable. The location is amazing, just 1 mile from downtown Bar Harbor and just blocks from a nearby carriage road. We will definitely be staying here when we return to Bar Harbor.
Loved this house. Very clean, stocked with everything you need, great location, wonderful deck. Deer and wild turkeys stopped by each day. Owner was wonderful and great at communicating. Can't wait to visit again.
Great house, comfortable, clean and perfect location. Nice to sit on the deck with some tea and watch deer and turkey go by. Easy to communicate with Sonja . Looking forward to our next visit.

Ideal family vacation destination!
We loved our stay from start to finish! My husband and I plus my son, daughter-in-law, 6 month old grand-daughter and family dog were very comfortable in Sonja's home. We loved the easy access to the park as we all are avid hikers. Our kids also rented bikes to ride in the park and in the evenings we enjoyed sampling Bar Harbor's many and diverse bars and restaurants. Our favorites were This Way Café , Havana and Two Cats. Sonja's home was clean and comfortable and if our travels bring us back to Bar Harbor we would absolutely want to stay there again!!!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay on the Island. Havana is one of our favorites too! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
My wife, dog, and I enjoyed our week long stay at the end of October. Sonja made the check-in and out very convenient. The home is nicely located in a quiet neighborhood just outside of downtown Bar Harbor and on the edge of Acadia National Park. Plenty of kitchen supplies, warm showers, washer dryer, and a grill on the deck gave us all the amenties we needed. A few minor wifi issues with the TV, but was able to host virtual work meetings on our computers without a blip. Would definitely stay here again.

A very comfortable and private house
Spotless, beautiful house in a great location. Private and quiet, fully equipped, and a terrific base for visiting Mt. Desert Island. All the furniture was comfortable, and the living room is bright and sunny and roomy. The yard is beautiful, and the deck was a great spot for relaxing and eating lunch. Less than a mile from the center of Bar Harbor, but in a super quiet and private area. It's about a minute bike ride to meet up with the part of Duck Brook road that's closed off to traffic and the carriage trails around Witch Hole pond and connecting to Eagle lake. We had a terrific vacation and would stay here again in an instant! Sonja was a pleasure to work with.

Thank you for the great review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip to Maine and the house:) Enjoy the rest of your fall!
Our two families of five adults total stayed comfortably for seven autumn days in this lovely updated home. The kitchen layout was ideal so we were not in each other's way, and having a small counter and separate beverage station off to the side that included its own counter and minifridge helped. Plenty of areas to sit around the house and be together or apart, inside and out as both bedrooms had access to their own patios. Both bathrooms were on the smaller side but each had a window, and the hot water never ran out. Basic amenities were provided for all (sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, knives, utensils, dishes, etc.). The queen beds were very comfortable, and the sofa bed in the living room was what one would expect from a sofa bed. Large windows into the big yards allowed daily observances of deer and turkey. The driveway accommodated two vehicles side by side. Great location within 15 minutes of all the major parking areas in Acadia NP, and the Island Explorer bus stop was just down the road by a couple houses. This is not a complaint, just an FYI: although downtown Bar Harbor is within walking distance, better to drive in the evenings due to minimal crosswalks and no streetlamps in the neighborhood. Sonja was very responsive to all inquiries leading up to our stay. We'd stay here again!
We spent a week in the fall at this property. Location was perfect for Acadia National Park and all the great restaurants in Bar Harbor. Cooked all but 2 breakfasts at the cottage—felt like home. Celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary around the fire pit in the backyard!
