Location was great! We loved how close it was to the beach/ocean, to the walkway. The pool was a great thing to have. However, the place could use a good deep clean. The amount of dust on the floors boards was ALOT. The closest were stuffed full, you couldn’t tuck suitcases away. I would highly recommend to not wash laundry here if you can avoid it. Washer was full of mold and left clothes a mildew smell.

Great location subpar condo

Location property was great, unfortunately condo was not clean and had lots of stains and trash left from last guests. Toothpaste on bathroom wall, dirt on sheets/walls/floors. Also condo had a weird smell. Was hoping it was better based on pictures/other reviews but doubt we would stay here again.

Wonderful Place

Excellent location. Balcony was wonderful place to watch sunrise and listen to ocean in the evening. Condo was clean and well appointed. Very nice place.

Looking to stay right on the beach? Look no further!

My husband and I just enjoyed a 4 night stay while in Jacksonville for a conference. We loved sleeping with the windows open every night and hearing the ocean. Every morning you watch the sunrise right from the bedroom window or from the lanai. The condo had everything you needed & the neighborhood was quiet. This place really is a great find!

JAX Beach Spring Break

This location is great! Place was clean except a few small things that can easily be fixed. Our family of 3 had enough space but there isn’t a lot of seating in the family room so more than 4 would be tight. Overall fantastic!

It was close to many places to eat and to the event we were down for (TPC Golf tournament) The second bedroom could use so nicer things, the bathroom shower had lots of mold growing around the floor. But we took care of the with lots of bleach. Over all it was a nice little condo. The owners just need to make sure it is better cleaned for the next guest.

Absolutely exceeded my expectations

Amazing location. Super cute, turquoise building that’s only 4 stories which means not as many people to navigate. Assigned parking, pool, and the beach entrance is right next to the place. I walked everywhere. Had a rental car but really didn’t need it. I had one tiny issue that was my fault and the property manager got back to me within 3 minutes and helped me fix the problem I created. Already planning my return trip. Perfect for a couple or 2 friends.

Beach front in great location

We were beach front with a view. Great access to the beach. Available were Beach chairs and east access to the room. We didn’t really do any cooking but seemed that all the basics were there. Our first day there we were asked about the cleanliness. Our response was 5/5. But really we did a quick look and headed straight for the balcony. Later to realize, if I were the owner, I’d be getting on the cleaning people. Didn’t change our experience one bit, and we’d stay there again. But if the owners are paying for cleaning, they might want a little better job done. Sand on the floor in the bathroom, bit of mold the shower by the floor and the shower curtain, bathroom floor mat has dog hair on it, and kitchen coffee pots were a bit grungy. That all said, it’s Beach condo, and is a thing. A great time was had.

Overall nice but didn’t meet some basic standards!

Overall stay : 7/101. The main reason we get condos is so we can cook most meals. The kitchen pans were extremely scratched up Teflon and not usable except one. Which made cooking meals for my family hard. 2. The dryer kept popping open, the seal wouldn’t hold and the laundry experience was frustrating. 3. They only provided the first two days of necessary items like toilet paper; paper towels, and garbage bags. 4. The kitchen sink handle, had to be manipulated a certain way to remain off, otherwise it kept running. 5. There’s too many furniture pieces that take up space and don’t function properly. (Barstools that are too tall for the kitchen counter, book cases behind doors in already small rooms, ect.)6. The living room rug was full of sand and hair. My daughter dropped her snack on it and when I picked it up it was completely covered in both. Overall, I love the building and pool, the location is perfect which is why the overall stay was ok. But coming back to the condo to watch a movie or cook dinner was not the experience I expected. The couch is also hard and it’s the only piece of furniture to sit on comfortably in the living room. So hopefully you’re comfortable with whoever you bring here so you can all sit close together. Which worked for my family but I can imagine it wouldn’t for other groups.

Terrible Stay

The Joyful at Jax Beach condo itself wasn't bad, but the electric and water went out in our building multiple times. On our last day, the water went out to the building and we had to leave a day early. The biggest problem with this building is that there is no one there to handle problems on the spot. Other than the utility problems, there were random people in the pool late at night, drunk and being loud. One of the reasons we chose this condo was that we could listen to the ocean sounds at night. But, those people ruined it even though the rules at the pool prohibited night swimming. Anyway, no one is accountable at the building to deal with problems issues. Then, before you know it, your vacation is ruined that you saved a lot of money for.

Falls short

The location was the best party of this place for sure. Beds were comfortable. Little crowded with furniture. The cleanliness and amenities was like a Motel 6. The refrigerator does not work well at all. Fridge barely cold and ice cream was the consistency of pudding. The freezer had a very STRONG fish smell. The kitchen faucet does not turn off unless you manipulate the handle just right. Padded bar stools wobbly and unsafe. Bathroom window (only vent in room) was broken, wedged open (to vent), and corroded. We acquired a cough, itchy eyes and runny nose on day two of the visit! Could it be from mold? No way of knowing but we are suspicious. The place needs some painting and general check up. I feel like the owner or manager needs to spend a few nights there and take in what needs fixing. P.S. Was given 1/2 roll of paper towels and two rolls of toilet paper (one ply products) and one extra garbage bag for one week and was told Vacasa only provides starter supplies. When paying this price and traveling across country don’t want to spend $ on household supplies and then leave the rest for them!

Caution: Do NOT Stay Here

The one good thing is that I got a text telling me it was cleaned and available for early check-in. Great! However, when I got there, the following things happened. 1. I opened the bifold door to the washer/dryer area and it fell on me. 2. I went into the bathroom and the toilet had the paper wrap around it indicating it had been cleaned. I lift the lid and see urine and hair in there! 3. The rug in the entry way has curled up corners and is a tripping hazard so I moved it into the bedroom I wasn't going to use. There was a huge mound of sand underneath it. Yet another indication that this place had not been cleaned. 4. The condo was colder than I wanted so I went to adjust the thermostat but it required a PIN. I didn't come to Florida in the winter just to be cold somewhere else. 5. I went to turn on the TV in the living room but the remote there was from an old blu-ray player. The remote for that TV was nowhere to be found, so I couldn't even watch TV during my stay. I alerted the property manager about the door falling on me as soon as it happened because I didn't want to be blamed for any damage. I also informed them about the bathroom. Regarding the door, she told me to "just prop it up" and didn't apologize or ask if I was okay. They also never sent anyone out to actually clean the condo. Other interactions were just as unpleasant with no resolution. I asked about the remote and all they said was "did you look for it?" Wow. Thanks for that genius idea. Yes, I looked for it. I wanted a vacation to get away from people & stress and instead I had to interact with Vacasa (another layer of do-nothing people who only contact the local team who in turn also does nothing). I was told I would get a refund after going back and forth with them all week long with absolutely no resolution on any item. The only thing they refunded was the cleaning fee. I called numerous times about the remaining refund and once again they defer to the local team who is unresponsive. If you want a horrible vacation where you have to be faced with filth from the minute you walk in the door and clean the entire place yourself, deal with 2 layers of do-nothing management and then still have a fight on your hands a month after you return, then book this unit. Otherwise, be forewarned and book elsewhere.
